Operations Conditions
1. The medium temperature should not be over 60oC, the density 1200Kg/m3, and the pH value within 5-9.
2. During running, the pump must not be lower than the permitted lowest liquid level.
3. Rated voltage 380 V, rated frequency 50 Hz. The motor can run successfully, only under the condition the deviations of both rated voltage and frequency are not over ± 5%.
4. The maximum diameter of the solid grain going through the pump has not to be larger than 50% of that of the pump outlet.

- If you just installed it you may have hooked it up backwards. The intake and output may be reversed or your electrical connection my be opposite what it is supposed to be. Take of the output side and put your finger over it. It should be creating pressure and blow on your finger. If that is not the problem check to see if you have a water filter between the tank and the pump. That my be clogged.

- The pump bracket pivots that allows the belt to be removed. I've seen a few where the alternator belt is over the top of the water pump belt, so you have to remove it first. Actually a pretty easy job.

- The water pump is commonly driven either by the pump drive belt or the timing chain/belt. It is easy to replace the belt-driven water pump, as it can be remove from outside of the engine. For the timing chain/belt driven water pump, you need to remove the front cover and belts before you can reach the pump. Drive your car to the nearest dealer workshop and ask the mechanic.
- Q: I recently bought a 01 firebird trans am. was doing some maintenance on it. basic stuff, tune up, serpentine belt, break flush, and a coolant flush. - First step is to check all fluid levels. Was the coolant level low? Want to know if the water pump is leaking then do a cooling system pressure test; it will tell you if the engine has any external leak, including the water pump, a majority of the time the pressurized coolant will leak out at the Weep hole at the water pump or gasket. When you open the radiator cap to perform a cooling system pressure test the look at the coolant or whatever inside and see if that Liquid is the same color of the Suspected liquid that you think is leaking. You can buy a flushing cooling system kit and the cleaning chemical at any auto part store and see if you can clean out the cooling system. It'll depend on how much Rusty the liquid look like, you may have to do it several times. Replace with proper mixture of coolant/ Antifreeze. HTH.
- Q: I keep having to add water to. Doesn't do anything when it's sitting up. But after you drive it straight for about 25 minutes. Time to add some more water. I figure it's the water pump. It's not leaking anywhere so it has to be a failing water pump. Oil still looks good, no smoking. AC and heater blows fine. Just runs hot after a while. I need another opinion. - The water pump seal will go bad if it isn't already because you are adding plain water to the cooling system! Antifreeze has a rust inhibitor and a lubricant in it and if you don't have the correct strength mix the inside of the block rusts and then the heater core and the radiator get plugged up resulting in hundreds of dollars in repairs. The water pump if leaking will drip on the passenger side from under the timing belt cover if you let the motor idle for 5 to 10 minutes. Look for the drips on the inside of the RF tire. If the water pump is leaking the timing belt will jump and bend all the valves.

Once the belt breaks your battery light will come on because the alternator can't charge the battery anymore and also your car will overheat if you have a serpentine belt because once the belt is broke nothing will move anymore including your water pump. Your leak probably came from the overflow tank which is normal when a car overheats. You don't seem to know much about cars so I assume that you really don't know where the water pump is. Change the belt and than hope to god that she didn't run the car to long while it was hot to crack the head gasket . oh and make sure you add enough coolant back to the cooling system before you start the car again

- Q: i heard a water pump should not be able to move.is that correct? It is a 1995 RM250. there is no clogging in the pipes coming from the radiators with 2 fingers require force to move them but with the 1 finger it requires no force to move a couple Centimeters.
- The water pump is turned by the primary gear on the crankshaft. When you were turning the water pump - the crankshaft was moving the piston up down in the cylinder. The couple of centimeters of movement is just the play between the gears - that's normal.
