- Q:Because I live in aus and the temperatures range from *lowest 6-10C winter* and highest around 36C in summer, with no dramatic weather usually, would a horse the is kept out in a paddock all its life **pleasure horse** need such rugs like winter and summer etc? (if it was clipped or didn't have a nice big fluffy coat))thanks.
- Hi there, It all depends on what you are doing with the horse and where it is being kept. If you are going to show the horse then yes you will need to rug it. If you clip it it will need a rug. If it is very thin then again rugs have their place. Having said that mine are just for pleasure and I don't rug. It takes alot of hassle out of looking after them. I don't have to worry if it is too hot or cold, did or didn't I take the rug off and then the weather changed? We get everything from snow through to 40 deg. Most horses are smart enough to get out of the rain or heat by moving into shelter. My horses are out in a paddock and do just fine. I have to tell you that my Whaler X mare is not too fond of the snow. She look at it as a personal insult, having spent most of her life in the Northern Territory. Were as my daughters pony just turns into a mamoth look a like during the winter. The other up side of not rugging is that rugs rip and need repair, this can add up. I rugged my mare the first winter she was down here, thought I was doing the right thing. By the end of winter I had two rugs that where more patches than original rugs, they had been brand new. So I gave up trying to rug her. We are both more happy about it all now. Hope that helps.
- Q:We have had some wrinkles develop in our carpeting, so I think I need to have it stretched. What causes that? Time, poor installation, or both?Also, we need our carpets cleaned. Would you have them cleaned and then stretched or vice versa?Thanks!
- Carpets okorder ., to locate a professional certified, and insured carpet cleaner who uses the hot water extraction process. In most cases the furniture and other household furnishings need to be removed from the room to properly stretch the carpet. Coordinate the time for this with the cleaner to come in after the carpet is stretched, perhaps all completed in the same day. This is how we do it, I'm a professional HWE carpet cleaner.
- Q:Most of the powder carpet freshners have so much perfume in them they trigger a migraine and I can't use them. Not to mention they are pretty pricey for what you actually get. Is plain ole' Arm Hammer baking soda a good alternative? Any other suggestions for freshing carpet?
- Plain Arm and Hammer baking Soda works just fine. Sprinkle let it set a few hrs and vacuum it up (overnight is best if you can wait). I do not use the powdered form of carpet fresheners I use the spray foams. They smell good and do not leave the residue in the carpets and are safe around children and pets. Normally I buy them at walmart or the Family Dollar where they are even cheaper and have off brands.
- Q:Smup pump broke and water leaked on to the carpet
- Use Fabbreeze in your carpet cleaner. Or some type of bio smell attacker. You want something that elemantes oders. But put the product if liquid in the carpet cleaner. and make sure you have a carpet cleaner not exstractor. The exstractor will only pull water out of your carpet where as a cleaner will clean the carpet and pull the water. You may have to pull the carpet up to let the pad under dry then spray the pad with your desmelling product. hope this helps.
- Q:Urine odor is old and on natural dye rug.
- You can wash down the walls with a solution of TSP (tri sodium phosphate) which can be found in the paint department. Air sponges will help absorb the odour in the air. Finally, a really good primer/sealant and a good bathroom paint should take care of the problem. If that STILL doesn't work - the smell could be coming from the grout in the tiles (if any) around the toilet. In that case, lift the toilet and clean with TSP or bleach, replace wax seal, re seat the toilet and caulk around the base of the toilet. If you do use bleach and/or ammonia - DO NOT MIX THEM!!! They produce a very dangerous, nasty gas. Good luck!

- If his room is all Simpsons maybe just look for a rug that has the colors of one of the characters or something that way it won't be over kill on all the Simpsons stuff you know, like if you have walls with Simpsons and furniture or decor with Simpsons adding a rug with Simpsons may be a bit much where as if you just put a cool Marge's hair color blue rug or A simpson skin toned yellow rug it might pull it all together better, just a thought :)

- So different batches, because dyeing is ralated with the temperature and humidity of the air, the higher the humidity, the darker the color, the lower the temperature, the brighter the color
