Q:What's a good cure for rug burns?
gotta love the first little baby bumps. no quick cures that i know of for rug burns, but some good lotion like aquaphor will help it heal and if you coat her nose with it before a crawling session it may act like a buffer lol. you could use neosporin so no scars, but i don't like putting that stuff on my babys face. my daughter gets the rug burns on her knees and elbows now that she is a little older. try getting her some babylegs to put over her legs (or arms if she'll let you) to prevent rug burns there. i have started making my own to match all her outfits lol. they're addicting! when it's hot here, i just let her crawl around with her dipe on and babylegs, nothing else. so they're usable in all weather. (best thing to use them for is the gap between the bottom of her pants and her socks when you put her in a carrier or stroller in the cold weather)
Q:What color rug should i go with?
Since you have several colors in the room already, I think a rug with a brown and blue pattern to match the sofa and curtains would look better than the burgundy. If you have too many colors in a room, it looks unplanned, and just thrown together with whatever you happened to have. What I would do, if this were my room, would be get rid of the blue curtains, since they don't match anything else. They're easier to replace than the sofa, or to paint the walls. Then look for curtains and a rug in brown and seafoam, or brown and white.
Q:Can CLR take out carpet stains?
Not sure what CLR is, however I would like to tell you what not to use. Never use any products made for doing laundry as some can damage the dyes in nylon carpet. One drop of white or clear dish washing soap in a glass of water will remove most spots without adding to much soap to the carpet. Soap still in the carpet becomes sticky and a dirt magnet. Some dish soaps dyed various colors can dye the carpet. Food grade dyes such as those found in Kool Aid cannot be successfully removed without specialty products available to hot water extraction carpet/upholstery cleaners. These specialty cleaners for removing food dyes require extraction after they're used.
Q:What are the advantages and disadvantages of pure wool carpet? How to choose?
Q:How to pick Iran Persian carpet?
Handmade Persian carpet price depends on the proportion of silk, the more pure, the higher the price, of course, material origin is also very critical, such as the use of New Zealand wool is generally high-grade carpet. In traditional Persian carpet, with 8 to 14 months on lamb wool - called "cock", this kind of delicate, smooth and soft carpet.
Q:Do carpet beetles attack pets?
Carpet beetles come in from outside and they get in a lot more than carpet. If they laid eggs, you will have a lot more carpet beetles. You might find some fuzzy larvae along the baseboards. The vacuum is a good weapon. The site gives good information.
Q:How to knit a purl stitch rug?
I don't think a purl stitch rug is a standard thing that would have a video. It sounds like a design made specifically for that book. The thing is, there is no need to purl a whole rug when it is generally easier to knit than to purl, and a purl is just the back side of a knit stitch. So you could knit the whole thing in whatever shape you like and just turn it over to have a purl stitch rug.
Q:How can I dye my area rug??
First of all, unless it's wool or cotton, it won't dye. Second of all Rit NEVER dyes anything black. It always comes out shades of gray.
Q:spilled milk on my carpet ,milk went sour,?
after it has dried, put plain baking soda on it and rub it in with a stiff brush, let it sit over night, then vacuum the next morning
Q:I have a black loveseat and a red sofa, what color rug should I get?
What color are walls? White, ivory I hope! 1] buy a rug with a lot of wall color [ white? ivory? ], medium amount of red, and a little black. A bit of gold would also look great. 2] buy red and gold pillows for the black loveseat; black and gold pillows for the red chaise 3] accent wall - pale gold 4] add accessories [ lamps, ornaments, planter/vase, candles and holders ] in red, gold, ivory on black tables
