Q: How to do if there is instant noodles soup on the carpet?
If the time of the soup left on the carpet is too long, close to the dry towel to suck, take away the suction nozzle of the vacuum cleaner, firstly, pour detergent water on it, dip a wet towel to wipe with a dry towel covered with a dry towel. You can use several towels one time
Q: I recently lost a large wall rug in my house due to a fire. The only information I have for it is the following: My grandmother purchased it from a traveling salesman in Canada sometime between 1967-1971. The dimensions of the rug are approx. 6ft long by 3-4 ft tall. It has a picture of polar bears on icebergs. The edging was red yarn-like fringes.I think that this rug is worth something but I can't find anything like it. I need to put a value on it for insurance purposes so I want to find out its true value and need documentation to prove that that rug, or one close to it, is worth a certain amount of money. My other grandmother had a similarly sized rug, possibly sold by the same guy, but it had a bullfighter and bull on it. Any help on this matter is greatly appreciated.
I'm not incredibly familiar with rugs, but I can try to give some help. After searching around a little bit, it seems that most of the rugs fitting this description are between $200-400, but rugs also run much higher in price. If it is a hand-made rug of that size made by a fine rug-maker, you could be talking $1000 dollars or more. I can't say too much more, since I'm in no way qualified to appraise a rug, since I don't know enough about them, but I included some links in the sources that might help you price your rug. Hope this helps. Good luck!
Q: ok so my dining room has rug, which im not a big fan of would prefer tile or wood flooring but anyways since its rug i wanted to get an area rug to put underneath my table thats made of some hard material that in case people sill or drop food it can come off easily like it wood if it spilled on wood or tile flooring, has anyone seen carpets like that??? or any suggestions as to what i can put under there?
I think I know what you are trying to ask and no. A rug is made of woven materials. I'm assuming you have wall to wall carpet in your dining room. If that's so have you looked under it? You may have a great floor under there! I saw one idea for a dining room that really looked great. The center of the room where the table sat had the carpet cut out and the center was done in hardwood. You need a carpet layer to finish off the inside edge but it was stunning! The carpet still framed the room all the way around but the contrasting textures of the carpet and wood gave it a real custom look. Good luck!
Q: I have a Nepalese oriental rug. I assume its wool (thought it may have man made fibres in it).I've cleaned various spills with water over the years - with no probs. It really needs a clean.. can I clean it with cold water? Is this dangerous?I'd like to just take it out and wash it down with a hose... Thanks
You can hose it down but the problem is that it will be sopping wet so it will take forever to dry. Also, professional rug cleaning people who use this method have a way of extracting the water out (vacuum table) so that the colors don't run from being wet too long. Since you don't have the material, I would suggest a carpet shampooer (injection/extraction) or if not, have a wet dry vac handy to suck up the maximum amount of water from the rug and be able to hang it over a bar in a very well ventilated area. You will have to turn it once every few hours. The biggest risk is that the colors run after X time being wet.
Q: paint on carpets
Pour some gasoline on it, and ignite it. It may remove more material than you want, but sacrifices have to be made...
Q: My carpet is AWFUL.Even the big, top of the line cleaning machines won't get out the dirt, stains, and ground in stuff in my carpet. I cannot recarpet it, I am 15 and my parents won't let me.What takes staind out? And what about dirt? Except for where furniture used tobe the carpet has gone from white to a lightl dirty beige.Any help will be wonderful, I can try anything, thank you.
id be throwing a tantrum..old dirty carpet breeds all kinds of germs and dust mite and it unhealthy...demand they pull it up..tell then when your near it ..it make you itchy and causes you a rash...tell them its unhygenic....if its clean enough to bear with..buy i nice big floor rug to cover the stains...
Q: When do you feel it is too cold or too hot for your horse and you need to rug him/her? How can you tell if your horse needs to be rugged or unrugged? Thanks, and could you also include some points about the differant types of rugs and what each are best for and when you should use them eg. winter rugs, summer rugs, cavasson (i think thats it:)), ect. thanks! xx
Well I live in Australia [ yeah dont ask why I am on the uk ireland one - thought I signed up to the other one LOL ] In winter it will be around the mid teens [ degrees celcious ] and usally windy and cold, my horse will have his winter rug on - 600d medium weight. and that is it. As soon as it is middle of spring comnig into summer I strip him and leave him unrugged. in saying this he is a hardy horse and he was unrugged for years before I owned him so he doesnt really need to be rugged, I just feel bad in the middle of winter having him rugless.
Q: Whether is the carbon crystal electric heating carpet easy to use?
The common electric heating appliance is almost all use the resistance heating principle of the thermal effect, electromagnetism use magnetism. Special column of hair care has it. Fortunately, I know some about this. In addition, semiconductor fever (PTC) makes use of "par" effect of heating (cooling) and microwave. The benefit of this material is that it can be "printed" on the insulating base materials and is easy to flex and fold, volume can also be done very thin, and you come with results, the electric heating effect. It makes use of carbon resistance heating principle, how to solve this problem hairdressing#47, the material is a kind of material that has resistance characteristics graphite. light, radio frequency and laser light.
Q: He is 9 months old and He is not allowed in my room. When I accidentally leave the door open to go cook etc, within 2 min. he runs in and pees right on the rug by my bed.It is infuriating! He is allowed everywhere else in my house, just not in my bedroom. Can anyone tell me why he does this and how I can deter him? I have tried verbal correction, removing him quickly from my room, putting him outside, even rubbing his nose in it. Nothing...someone help!
When you say the rug by your bed, do you mean a throw rug type thing or actual carpet? If it's a throw rug and can be throw in the washer, then was it and add 1 cup of white vinegar to your final rinse. (the smell dissapates!). If it's carpet, scrub it as good as possible and then using 1 cup white vinegar to a bucket of water, wash over the area again, to get rid of all the urine smell. (Anytime a dog can smell where he/she peed before, they will return to it and use that spot again). Rubbing the dogs nose in the spot doesn't help! They know that spot is already there, without you doing that; and it serves no purpose. If you have a gate to put across the door, then I would use that, if the behavior continues just out of habit. And, by the way, as someone else wrote it's a known trait for Shih Tzu's to pee in the house, this is absolutely not true! I know several people with Shih Tzu's and I have one myself, and none of them urinate in the house once they are housetrained! I don't believe you can point a finger at any certain breed of dog and say that is a trait of there's. It is either because the dog was not entirely housetrained, or because something happened to make them start to urinate again, such as another dog laid there; or actually urinated in that spot, and then your dog is peeing there also, to mark his or her territory. Another thing, has your dog been neutered? If not, that might help the problem also, esp. if another dog has been in your house recently and he can smell that. I hope this helps you with your problem, and you and your fur baby get to enjoy many happy and healthy years ahead.
Q: I have never purchased new carpet and do not know where to begin. What type of carpet is best for high traffic areas? This will be stairs, hallway and bedroom.
Go for wool or a wool blend for long life.
