- Q: For the past 6 months or so, my cat has been peeing and pooping on my throw rug (which, just so you know, was an expensive rug from Crate Barrel which I love). My rug is stained from cat pee, and I just had it cleaned deodorized this past weekend in the hopes that she would stop using it as a litter box. I used to think that she did it out of spite, but I can't figure out why she'd be mad at me or my live-in boyfriend (who she belongs to, but we've been living together for about a year and dating for a year and a half, so she knows me well and is very loving towards me). I don't know how to get her to stop using my rug as a toilet. Any suggestions? And, putting her to sleep is not a suggestion. We love her. But, if she doesn't stop pooping and peeing on my rug I don't know what II'll do!
- keep the litter box clean clean it all the time everyday if nessecary next clean that rug like there is no tomorrow scrub and scrub and scrub do not put it back out yet get the cat fixed and petsmart sells something called cataway use it your in a tough situation that is very hard to break just keep that cat pan clean then put the carpet back after a couple days i had this problem with a cat and i loved the cat but my house was kicking he had to go but dont give up and remember keep the pan clean
- Q: okay, so i moved to college and back home my parents smoke and the 6'x10' rug i took to school smells of cigarettes. How can i get rig of that smell, any suggestions or advice. thanks.
- If it is still hot in your area , take it outside and wash with a mild soap. The driveway with the lawn hose is the easiest.Find two lawn chairs and place the rug on these chairs, or crates, anything to help the water drain from it after washing. When most of the water is drained, throw it over the fence or line to complete drying. Use some degreaser on the rug while you are washing it. The smoke may have some oils in it . You can also rinse with some fabric softener, just mix in bucket first and pour over rug. Only soapy water will get things really clean, those carpet cleaners just cover smells and don't really get anything clean. I only recommed mild soap because I don't know what your rug is made of, if it is synthytic just use laundry detergent. I wash 20 area carpets every spring out of my home, some or wool, cotton, and mixed , even one silk, I don't have a problem, just make sure it is completely dry before bring it back in. If you can't do these things, go to the grocery and buy fabric spray for oders, they work pretty fair.
- Q: is there anything you can buy at walmart to get rid of a bleach stain on my carpet?? almost all of my room is bleached because my mom is stupid!!! is there any product to cover the bleach up?
- Not a very nice thing to say about your mother. Bleach does not stain. (Now who looks soooooo smart) It has no color, it is a color remover. Nothing you can do to fix it on carpet but remove the carpet or replace it.
- Q: Im moving next week and im expecting my second baby. Im on a budget but I would still like a nice area rug for the living room. Around 60 to 80 dollars?
- Check okorder Good luck with the baby and the move and I hope you find what you need.
- Q: I'm thinking of buying carpet tile as a cheaper way to make a rug. I haven't been to home depot or lowes yet seeing as I just came up with this idea. On the store website however I can only find the pricing of cases of 35 square feet and such. I only need roughly a three tile by three tile square. So, I was wondering if they also sold it by the piece?
- well thats just standard practice to list the pricing per box... you should be able to purchase by the square(piece) Also might wanna try your local carpet store.carpet squares are typically more of a comercial grade carpet,so you could also look in the phone book under commercial flooring and talk them into selling some of their extras. hope that helped.anymore questions, feel free to ask. i have been a ceramic tile installer for 10 years and did my share of carpet too. jarod
- Q: I WON RED CARPET PASSES AND I WAS WONDERING YOU ANYONE KNEW WHAT quot;RED CARPET PASSESquot; ARE! ARE THEY TO WALK THE CARPET OR ARE THEY TO SIT ON THE SIDE? PLEASE LET ME KNOW! THANX!
- i saw somewhere that you get to walk the carpet, didnt you check before entering whatever competition it was? you dont have to have a pass to be on the sides of a red carpet so you could be in luck walk down the carpet and if your old enough have a few drinks b4 you do lol.i wish i could tell u 100% but my gut tells me that u can walk it,ive seen ppl walking on the carpet who have nothing to do with the event in the past
- Q: what to do when there is oil on the carpet?
- If the back of the carpet is sisal, then it can be washed with detergent.
- Q: I'm doing an article about what kinds of rugs to keep out of the sun and I need a creative title for my article.Much thanks :)
- rug forrigno, rug munchah's you've got a nice rug rugs are hairy sometimes check these dirty rugs out! Who's rug was that last nigh pugs with rugs speakin' of rugs fun with rugs Your sun have a rug?
- Q: On Craigslist, someone is selling rugs from Iran (with certificates of authenticity). The person's parents recently left the rug business and he has many rugs available.Does anyone know a fair price for these rugs or have a price guide? I realize that smaller rugs are obviously less than bigger rugs, but what, for example, should a 4' x 8' rug cost? Thanks for any help.
- The price should be around $40/square foot for a standard hand-knotted wool rug. If you're looking at a kilim (looks like a very thick tapestry) those will be much cheaper, and if you're looking at a silk rug, or silk blend rug, those will be about double the cost of wool, or maybe more.
- Q: I live in the UK where the weather totally changes from one day to the next. One day it's freezing, the next it's hot. So I never know which rug to put on my horse. If I put a lightweight on and the weather turns cold he'll be cold. But if I put his mediumweight on and the sun comes out he'll be hot. Which is better?
- I know the feeling - we are swapping and changing at the moment same as you! Personally I'd rather the horse was a bit on the warm side, at least it will help with getting the winter coat out! At the moment we are mostly going with a medium weight stable rug over night, and a no-fill outdoor one for daytime outside, on our fairly robust but elderly warmblood.
