Q:hi guys. so i have a brand new rug i put in the living room. but sadly.. i think it must be the new thread smell.. or the smell of what it was wrapped in.. because it smells quite stale.. and is giving me a headache. this is my first apartment. and i dont have experience cleaning rugs.. can someone explain a good way to get rid of the smell.. astringents to buy.. or something to kind of wash the rug without staining or ruining it.. i can do it by hand.. i just dont know the correct approach.ps. i have a rite aid next door. so if i should get something there to clean it.. please let me know!also, whats a good cleaner to buy for a toilet bowl? i need some good advice thank u!: all carpet is glued together with chemical compounds. it can give off one head ache smell. and it is bad for you. since this is a rug you can simply hang it out to air for a day. that should get most of it out. febreeze helps too. as far as the toilet. any with an angled neck, that with a good brush and regular cleaning will mean you do not get unsightly stains

Many products on the market are a rip off, and this foaming spray is one of them. The carpet needs to be hot water rinsed and extracted to come clean, and no, this does not hurt the carpet.

Q:How do you get nail polish out of carpet?: nail polish remover will just eat it up , it melts I just found this out the hard way I finally just took little scissors and cut the carpet pile down. good luck

Q:Ok, i have a white area rug that has a few stains, nothing major.. I want to bleach it to not only get the stains out but i also love the smell of bleach, i bleach my blankets and my sheets every week. Im not really worried about ruining my rug, cause its not like its going to get any better. Please help :) thanks!: Take the rug outside to your driveway. Clean a spot on your driveway (soap and water, brush and rinse). Place the rug on that spot. Dilute bleach 10:1. Use scrub brush with a handle. Scrub. Rinse with hose. Hang to dry.
