- Q: how to lay a carpet on the iron sheet In the winter?
- Carpet paving generally has two methods, one is the simple paving method, sticking the carpet on the ground with adhesive directly, which is also known as B pavement; another way is to put a layer of rubber or foam cushion on the ground, and then pave the carpet above it, and fix the carpet with nailing strips installed around the edge of the carpet, splicing places need to use hot tape to bond together, this approach is called A pavement. Before laying the carpet, you should first clean the surface of the ground. Such as the wood floors, the loose or broken floor should be repaired first. If pave on the cement floor, the sunken and carina should be patched and chiseled .. If the cement ground is easy to be damp, you can brush the cold primer oil first or lay a layer of asphalt paper. design the pave scheme before laying. if the carpet needs splicing, you should place it in an inconspicuous place or to the seam that is not easy to suffer harm. it should have 1 mm gap around the wall. pay attention to the direction of the wool while splicing in order to avoid cromatic aberration. hammer concrete steel nails on the ground around the walls... All the nails should be slightly inclined to walls, it means stick the carpet on the ground with adhesive, in splicing place, chisel the carpet. if carpet needs to be spliced. If pave on the cement floor,
- Q: Carpet is worn to padding something black under the carpet its showing and landlord is cheap and doesn't want to fix anything. Exterminator told landlord a year ago it needed replaced but landlord ignored. My kids and I have to wear flip flops in the house because this carpet is nauseating. I was going to buy a carpet cleaner but im not wasting my money or time on this carpet. Been here 8 years and carpet was here before I moved in.
- yes,i believe every 5 yrs.
- Q: Funny but its stained red! How can i get it out of the carpet.
- Fill a quart jar with a cup of ammonia, 1/2 cup baking soda, 1/4 cup vinegar and the rest can either use more ammonia or fill with water. I use more ammonia on tough stains and maybe because of the red color more would be better. Dampen some cleaning rags with the mixture and rub into or spray into the areas to be cleaned. When you've got it all then rinse with plain water or a little vinegar. You can also use a soft bristle brush to work it out and then rinse. maybe some of it is still there and it might have to be done twice to completely remove it all. Good Luck. Take an old towel to dry it somewhat and just put the towel on the floor and walk on it zig zaggy.
- Q: my daughter got play doh all over my carpet....new play doh...how do i get it off the carpet
- Kids love playing with Play Dough. The problem? It can be messy, and it always seems to end up on surfaces that are the hardest to clean...like the carpet. This simple 4 step process will help you remove ground in dough even if it seems that it's there to stay! Step 1 While it's still moist, remove as much of the play dough from the carpet as you can. Avoid stepping on it to prevent it from being ground in to the carpet fibers even more. Step 2 Is there dough that you were unable to get picked up because it's already too stuck to the carpet? Walk away! Leave the dough to dry for several hours (I find that over- night works best). You want the dough to be as dry as possible. Step 3 Using the edge of a spoon, firmly scrape the dough from the carpet. The spoon will not damage the carpet, and it will also loosen the dried dough that is stuck. Step 4 Vacuum the carpet thoroughly. Continue to scrape and vacuum until all of the dough is removed.
- Q: What about the carpet with wrinkles?
- Good clothes with hanging ironing machine is the best choice. Research shows that often use flat iron ironing clothes is easy to damage the fabric, especially for high-grade fabrics (such as stiff and aging), and the use of steam hanging ironing machine for ironing in natural suspension state, the gravity and high temperature steam (temperature at 98 degrees Celsius) under the action of both can be easily ironed, and to maintain the best in shape.
- Q: my cat claws and tears a section of my carpet in my apartment. I would like answers from someone who really HAS the experience on cutting out the piece, replacing, sowing, etc. Can anyone help?
- I've had to repair construction damaged carpet in several houses - here's how I went at it. Go to a carpet store and ask for carpet tape - a wide version of duct tape. You should be able to get it as single sided or double sided tape. Take a piece of carpeting identical to the carpeting you have to replace, cut it large enough to replace the damaged section, and lay the new piece over the old - making sure the pile of the original carpet and the patch line up. You may find it easiest to cut the carpeting from the back side, or use a knife with a blade designed to cut carpeting (see the carpet store again). Hold the patch in place while you cut through damaged carpet, using the patch as a template. If you're uncertain, make the hole in the original carpet a little small and trim the patch to fit. Once the patch fits the hole in the original carpet, use the tape to fasten the patch to the original carpet (and to the floor if two sided). Get the cat de-clawed. ;-) Good luck with it.

- Q: My teacher gave me a list of places in California to find the addresses of. I've successfully managed to find all of them except the last one; the red carpet. I'm aware that this isn't a place but i still need help. Can anyone explain where it is located and if not whats a good explanation to tell your very strict economics teacher? XD
- To be appropirate in Orange County, CA, one must be Republican, altho one does not might desire to appreciate lots approximately politics or present day activities. One ought to positioned on all their rings at as quickly as. One ought to in basic terms positioned on outfits with upscale labels. One ought to have spent a minimum of $two hundred,000 on plastic surgical treatment. One ought to abhore the less fortunate. One ought to rigidity all over the roads (because of the fact they very own the roads). One ought to be sure their acquaintances based on the size of their financial enterprise money owed. in case you do no longer qualify, they would not even permit you on their pink carpet. sturdy luck.... (I used to stay there. that's all genuine.)
- Q: Baby had a ball with foundation in bathroom. Cleaned everything but the rug. It's vanilla-colored, and is 100% cotton. Any hope?
- I am assuming this is just a bathroom throwrug, so there shouldn't be any reason why you couldn't just throw it in the washer. I would also think if you use the makeup remover cloths (like you use on your face) before washing, that should loosen up and dissolve it so it will rinse out in the wash. It is gently enough to use on your face- so it should be gentle enough for your rug. A laundry pretreatment like Oxi-clean, and regular detergeant with a non-chlorine bleach should get the rest out. The big worry with 100% cotton is if it will shrink in the dryer- but I've not had a bathroom rug do that if I used low heat until it was just damp dry, and then hung it to air dry completely. Look at the back and see if there is a care tag to say if it can be dried or not. If all else fails, and you are left with a few spots stained, maybe you could consider doing a dye job, a shade darker- to cover. Good luck with the cleaning. I have six kids, and long ago gave up on white and beige anything for just this reason!
