Q:In the corner of my bedroom the carpet smells musty, almost like this mildew moldy smell even the lower part of wall stinks. It has a wooden border (if that helps) the water heater is also on the other side (outdoor patio). I've used baking soda, carpet cleaning spray. The manager had them remove the pad under the carpet only and had it steam clean but all this only seem to mask the smell for a few days. Today the supervisor came and said something about painted the walls. I know what mold/mildew smells like (for I lived in a place that had it for over 3 years) . But the management and there clean crew insists that its nothing. I even had a few friends come over smell the carpet they said it stinks. I don't know what else to do.....any suggestions?

This is a seen from a movie. The guy is a stoner and goes to this rich guys house asking to pay for the rug. I forget the name of the movie but this definitely isn't true. They call the guy the dude and tara reid is in the movie who gets kidnapped... really it's her other boyfriend and they demand 1 million dollars. I think it may be called the dude lol

I think average is about $15 to $20 per sq yd. I did pay a little more for the carpeting upstairs than I did downstairs, because I knew I'd replace the downstairs carpet sooner. I picked out a $25/sq yd carpet for upstairs, and I thought that was expensive. I think $30 is WAY too expensive.

Well, it sounds worse than it really is.. he did it once, then I washed the rug.. it was clean for a day.. then he peed on it once again. There are NO other cats in the house, the litter box IS in the bathroom. I can not scold him or correct the behavior because of the amount of time lapsed when he's gone on the rug. hmm is it a rug around the toliet? if you have males in the house who miss their intended target it could be the cat pickin up on that scent and marking thinking there is another cat around.

Q:Okay here's the scoop. My wife recently talked me into purchasing a 8 by 10 $600 throw rug for our living room. She said it would look nice when guests come over and it does. The carpet has a lot of light colors in it as well as some dark and here is where the problem is... I want to roll up the carpet so it's against the wall when its just regular everyday traffic and roll it out only when we have guests. My thinking is there's less chance of it getting spoiled andd it would extend the life of the carpet My wife thinks I'm crazy!!!!!!!!!!!$

Yes, you are being overprotective but its understandable. You don't want the rug to get spoiled and the best way to ensure that is to use it minimally. BUT. Its your home. And if you buy something to make your home look better, you're doing that so YOU can live in a better, prettier home :) the rug isn't there for your guests to appreciate it, it's there for you to appreciate it :) so maybe you should just leave it there and not roll it up and put it away'
