- No. you will ruin your carpets. Oxi works great on a small stain and blot dry. If you want to clean your carpets you need a steam cleaner for carpets. If you leave water under the carpet on the pad it will get moldy and smell. Carpet cleaners suck up the excess water.

- i bought a fairly inexpensive steam cleaner and we love it. as long as you wash it out and treat it properly weve had nothing but luck with it. its from walmart. its about $200. but if you use it more than acuople times you get your money's worth with how much they are to rent a year ya know!? its called the bissel pro heat. we have the one that is blue. i have heard acuople bad reviews when i was researching to buy one, but like i said.... if you treat it right... it should be as wonderful for you as it is us. we have pets and a baby who throws food. we get gallons of black water out when we use it. good luck!
