Q:how to change bearings on 1980 blazer?
Well im going to asume youre talking about front wheel bearings on a 4x4?Its not to difacult just remove the manual lock out hubs and the 2 snap rings that hold in the hub assembly then take a special tool to remove the outer and inner wheel bearing adjustment nuts theres 2 of them then you can pull off the whole hub and remove your bearings .
Q:how tight should the nut that holds the wheel bearings on a trailer be?
I agree with eamber 246, to a point. i have never heard of anyone using a pair of pliers on a nut holding a hub onto an axle. I have owned quite a few boats and I am a transmission mechanic by trade. Most of the nuts holding hubs onto axles I have seen have all been over 28mm in diameter. Way too large for pliers. In my experience, and I have had a little in the trade and out, I have always used a shifter or adjustable spanner to hold the nut while tightening. As eamber said though, you have to be careful not too over tighten or leave too loose
Q:Replacing wheel bearings on 98 Cherokee, Timkin or Valucraft?
Q:how long do skatebaord bearings last?
Depends on what kinda they are. I've seen cheap $10 Abec 3s and 5s works just as fine as some Bones bearings. As long as you take care of them, they will stay in good condition. But since a decent set of bearings don't cost all that much, just use them until you feel like changing them. I've skated for 5 years and I had a set of bearings that lasted me through out the year. Bones REDS? I'm pretty sure you're familiar with the name. But they are really durable. They ain't fast, but they are durable.
Q:Will new bearings make my board go faster?
The guy above me has no clue what he's talking about. Bones RED are called RED because they are made in china. Bones SWISS are made in Switzerland. No such thing as a Bones Red Swiss. Bones Red are good bearings - pretty fast, about $15. Bones swiss are far better - mega fast around $40. If your bearings are rusty - toss them. Always keep those bad boys dry and clean. Remember - new bearings are packed with a thick grease which makes new bearings seem slower and quiet. There is a break in period, depending on how much you skate. By using them, the grease will break down, seep into the metal, and become faster. Just put in new bearings, find a good hill - bomb it, and you'll be ace. Skate hard.
Q:how often should u clean longboard bearings?
clean them every 2 weeks! Just oil them up with silocen spray (works for me) Churr
Q:Bearings??? I have a skateboarding question?
Yeah guy. Of direction so as to be quality. I've performed that earlier than whilst I was once more youthful when you consider that I had not anything else lol. Yeah, simply positioned it on and roll your wheels and positioned extra on. Do that for a couple of days in a row and your bearings shall be spinning and spinning and spinning!
Q:are ceramic bike bearings worth the price?
If you don't mind spending a lot of money for a tiny benefit, go ahead. Just make sure that the bearings you plan to buy are actually better than the ones they are replacing. Some ceramic bearings are not really any better than steel ones. Drag from your bearings is a tiny fraction of overall mechanical, friction, and aerodynamic drag that slows you down. Improving your bearings might only give you a fraction of a percent improvement in overall efficiency
Q:are shortys black panther abec 7 good bearings and are they better than bones?
i had some panthers for my first set of bearings, and they were alright. u get what u pay for i guess. but my friend got a set of the bones reds (only like 17 bucks) and they WAY outlasted my panthers, and they were way quicker. but recently someone asked me what kind of bearings i ahd and i didnt even remember. i took a look and realized im still riding my lucky abec 7's from 3 years ago! i hadnt thought about em in so long cause ive enver had a break, and they all still run so fast and smooth. id definately reccomend my lucky 7's. if not, then pick up a set of bones super swiss 6. those things are amazing. or, if your in it for something cheap, look for some called filters ive only seen em at one shop, but everyone ive talked to thats had a set said they were the best.
Q:Are these good rollerhockey bearings?
There really isn't that much difference between bearings. Mission won't want to get a bad rep by making bad bearings for their main customers. The price is probably a little higher than other bearings (without an OEM skate maker's name on them) than equivalent bearings from the top companies (Twin Cam, Zero Drag, Bones).
