The outer ring has thin wall.The drawn cup needle roller bearing has the characterstics of small radial section area, large load carring capacity ,less inertia and economic manufacture. - the free ones unless your looking for speed i remember my first skateboard, i had some bones reds and they were too fast so i tightened them up to make them slower lol and now their the worst ever. but if you want some good ones then you need to know how to clean them and take them off your wheels first.

- Yes it can. Steve is completely wrong. I had this happen to me today. I started noticing smoke coming from the wheel bearing and then it started getting loud and it felt like something was breaking off in the wheel area. The abs light came on and I drove it around the block and then the wheel just popped off. It was crazy. Never thought I'd have something like that happen to me. I was lucky that I wasn't going fast when it happened.

- ABEC is not a type of bearing, but simply a rating system on the quality of the bearing. I clean and lubricate most bearings with WD-40. You only need to clean or lubricate a bearing if you've noticed a significant decrease in its performance.

- Q: How much would it cost to get bearings fixed on a fourtrax 250 Honda yr 2000, just a rough estimate please.?
- What bearings? Wheel bearings are cheap and a DIY job. Engine/transmission bearings? They are more expensive and the labor to change them will run into the hundreds. Axle or steering bearings fairly cheap and yet another simple DIY job.
- Q: I don't even know if the bearings are broken. The wheel is not spinning well and it feels like the bearings could be broken. How do i check if the bearings are broken? If they are broken, then how do i fix them or do i have to get new ones? If i do need to get new ones, then how do i know which ones to get? Or, do i just need to get a new hub? - It depends on what is actually wrong, and how bad it is. If there is a clicking sound coming from the hub as you spin the wheel, it could be a broken bearing. The clicking is caused by the remaining ball bearings rolling over parts of the broken one. Most cycles have cup and cone wheel bearings, but some later top end ones could have a cartridge bearing. If one or more of the ball bearings has broken, and the wheel hasn't been used much since it broke, then a new set of bearings could be fitted. The hub will need to be stripped, cleaned, checked for wear, and if there is no damage, re - built with the new bearings. If the wheel has been used for some time with a broken bearing, then the bearing surfaces in the hub may damaged, and it will probably be cheaper to replace the wheel, rather than fit a new hub. If in doubt, take the wheel to a reputable cycle store, and ask them to look at it, they should be able to advise you on the best solution.

- Q: I have a pair of rx15 bauer roller blades and I need to get new wheels, bearings and spacers for them. I am a hockey player so I need some good wheels and bearings that will hold up, but I also don't want them to be expensive. If anyone has some good suggestions that would be great. I usually just buy the stock bearings and wheels, but they are getting expensive. Also is it worth it to get bigger wheels for the back two and smaller ones for the front?

- Q: I have this set of bearings i got recently with my skateboard deck i purchased on ebay, the board and bearings are brand new from 1988, the bearings was in there original package. When i took the bearings out they dont spin very much at all. They only read 608 zz on both sides and they come with silver spacers. Are these good bearings and if so, how could i beable to get these to work more better.
