The outer ring of drawn cup needle roller bearing is punched with the high-quality steel sheet. The outer ring has thin wall.The drawn cup needle roller bearing has the characterstics of small radial section area, large load carring capacity ,less inertia and economic manufacture. It is suitable for small section heght, or when the housing bore isnot used for raceway , this type is recommended to use .The bearing is assembled into the housing bore under a certain pressure without fu rther axial location.

- Q: i bought some new bearings today, Bones Reds. the guy at the shop said that they were so fast they didn't need an abec. after riding i thought that my old bearings, the rush abec-7's, went faster. i just wanted to know which is faster

- The shields are crimped on. They can't be serviced. You have to get new ones. Bones Reds are high quality serviceable bearings. Head over to a local skateboard shop and get a set. They are sold 8 bearings to a box. You will need 2 boxes if you have 8 wheels on your skates.
- Q: How can i tell if my wheel bearings are bad? I replaced my Calipers on both sides and my pads. I can't do my rotors myself b/c it's a 97 honda and there pressed on. My rotors are in need of replacing but smooth and i don't believe them to be the cause of my grinding noise. The grinding noise is when i am driving and gets worse at higher speeds and tends to pulsate a bit. When i apply the brakes it doesn't get any worse and feels good under the foot? - The bearing in question are called HUB BEARINGS and yes they do go bad and yes you have to remove the spindle to access the holding snap ring in the back. It can be done at home but it will take time and you will need a bearing removal tool so you can do it on the car. Only place i know to be able to get that tool is of a tool truck Snap-On / Matco / Mac. Good Luck

- bones makes many types of bearings. Some are ABEC rated and the better ones are not. The ABEC rating is for vibration in high speed machines that run at speeds similar to skating over 200 mph. They are not the best design for skating but companies make a lot of them for other reasons and it is cheaper to get them than a design that is custom made. Bones, Twin Cam, Zero Drag, and some other companies have custom designs for their better bearings.

- The rear bearings are probably sealed units if it's a front wheel drive car. You will of course have to remove the drums, they should just come right off. zxc
- Q: i have a 2003 suzuki ozark 250, and the front wheel bearings are shot. I have the bearings, but before i start, i would like to have an idea of what im doing. - is almost the same, the only diff is how the wheel is opened up,,, i believe they seal the bearings so you will haft to press them out i think,, if not then then its the same,,, ive only came across 2 types of 4wheelers that had to do that,, they were polarius models that floated on the water,,, now lookin at yours its the same as a car,,, after removing the wheel you take off the spindle ( for a car its called a rotor) then pick out the bearing clean out the grease add new grease, and pack the bearings with grease befor you put it in,, the more grease the better lol

- Reds bearings are better I used to skate them and loved them but it is really worth spending the money for bones swiss or super reds.

- no bearings are water proof if water goes into your bearings then they will probably get ruined
