- Q: i need to find a website or store (in missouri) selling area rugs under $50 and about 13ft x 13ft in size.
- To be very honest with you, the only rug of that size you will find for under $50 will have to be second hand and likely not in great condition. I have never in my life heard of finding that size rug at that type of price. Good luck. If you do find one, please let me know where -- I would order from that supplier even if they are overseas and shipping doubles the cost!
- Q: The carpet will go in a finished basement. The basement has bare concrete right now.
- If your basement is at most, a little damp, then I'd hesitate before putting in carpeting. You don't want mold to form under the carpet. Try to dry the basement out first. Maybe all you need is a good dehumidifier that you will continue to run. If you're not sure about the floor, do a simple test. Tape a 3x3 foot plastic sheet onto the floor. Seal all edges. Come back in a few days. If there is moisture between the floor and plastic, don't finish the basement floor with carpet. Once the basement is dry, just put an 8-pound pad under the carpet. You don't need roofing felt under it. If you are gluing carpet or carpet squares directly to the floor, be sure to seal any and all cracks in the cement first. Also, use a water-soluble glue in the event that you have to rip up the carpet due to a flooded basement. Don't cover the drains with carpet or, at least, mark them off so you can find them later. There is a spray mold-retardant that can be applied to the carpet after it is laid down. We had that done in our basement. I'm not sure if that can be done prior to laying the carpet, i.e., to spray the floor and/or the padding first.
- Q: I need new carpet in my Buick rendezvous and i want to know where to find the stock carpet, the same kind thats in it not just mats to cover it up. I want to tear the old stuff out and put the same new in.
- This Site Might Help You. RE: How to get new stock carpet for my car? I need new carpet in my Buick rendezvous and i want to know where to find the stock carpet, the same kind thats in it not just mats to cover it up. I want to tear the old stuff out and put the same new in.
- Q: How to stick to the carpet tiles
- AB is not, AB glue after solidification relatively hard not flexible, stampede days will fall off, I said the glue is flexible, and if you have a ready answer can speak out directly refer to research.
- Q: ok i got a new throw rug about a month ago and all of a sudden today my cat pissed on. Hes old.the cat it i think he did i for the last week because it was damp but i saw him i know how 2 get rid of the smell but how do i break him of it? and why does he do it?! - A UTI could be the cause of your cat's missing the box in favor for the rug, or he could be upset about something. Have you moved his box? Changed his food? Changed his schedule? Anything that is different that might seem small to you might be big to him. My mom's cat started pooping on her rug because my mom moved her litter box. She solved the problem by purchasing Dr. Elsey's Cat Attract cat litter; it is specifically made for cats who fail to use the litter box. There is a booklet inside the package that discusses how to deal with this issue. Dr. Elsey emphasizes that scolding the cat could have the opposite effect that you intend - it could cause the cat to urinate outside the litter box more frequently. This litter and the suggestions worked for my mom's cat. You can find it at Petsmart and other large pet supply stores. Good luck.
- Q: The hotel chain is some ground floor, how carpeted? I thought whether joining the chain hotel.
- PVC floor and wood floor contrast:Wood floors can be broadly divided into three categories: solid wood flooring, solid wood composite flooring and laminate flooring.1. solid wood flooring is a natural material, has irreplaceable advantages, synthetic materials, non-toxic and tasteless, comfortable, warm in winter and cool in summer. But it is expensive, hardwood resource consumption, the installation of heavy workload, difficult to maintain (fear of fire, fear of water, afraid of tide) and floor width direction produced larger size changes with changes in relative humidity.2., the appearance of solid wood composite flooring has the same beautiful wood texture as solid wood flooring, good dimensional stability, easy laying and maintenance. But still can not get rid of fear of fire, fear of water, afraid of the shortcomings of the tide, not as good as PVC flooring, environmental protection, abrasion resistance is less than PVC floor.3. strengthen the wooden floor substrates is medium or high density fiberboard and particleboard, good dimensional stability, the surface layer of impregnated decorative paper containing wear resistant materials, ensure the wear resistance of the surface layer of the cigarette burning resistance, scratch resistant and anti pollution performance, which is compared with the former two, and PVC super wear-resistant flooring and the anti pollution performance than there is a considerable gap.
- Q: we are in the market for a carpet shampooer/deep cleaner but on a bit of a budget. we are not looking to RENT one. anyone have any suggestions or recommendations? we would definitely need one that agitates the carpet.
- Get a Hoover.
- Q: I have a rug that my sister gave me as a gift. The colors are perfect for my home and it's the perfect size for where I need it. But there's a problem - it's in a high traffic area (landing on the stairs) and it won't stay put. It creases in the center and gets pushed up against the wall as the traffic goes by - causes safety hazard because now we're tripping all over it, and i'm getting so tired of bending down to straighten it. I know it probably wasn't an expensive rug, but I would hate to throw it out. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can get it to stay on the carpet? I was thinking about gluing some thing on the bottom corners to weight it down.... maybe that's a crazy idea. I was also thinking maybe there's a way to attach it to the carpet, like a safety pin.... probably crazy too because then i'd just end up with holes in my carpet. Maybe someone more creative has an idea or knows of a cost effecient product that could help me.
- There are special mats you can buy at Lowes, Home Depot, Linens n Things.....just about anywhere that you place under the rug to hold it in place. There are two types. One is for use on carpet and the other for hard floor surfaces. They come in sizes. I have an oriental on carpet that used to creep until I got the mat. All of my rugs on the hardwood floors that are not self gripping have them as well. They work and do no harm to the carpet or floors.
- Q: Hi everyone, I have a encolsed porch that i am redoing and the exsiting floor is wood and is painted so i just repainted it well i was thinking about painting a rug onto the floor just to add a little something different and special to the room. I am having a hard time finding any informatiot on it. I am looking for ideas for patterns (a little more torwards a country pattern) and ideas on how to do it what steps i should use and if anyone out there has ever done this you're input on it would be sooooo geatly appreciated!!! In a nutshell any hep at all would be appreciated!!! Thank you for you're time:)
- One option you might ought to consider is a semitransparent stain with a white or light gray pigment. This is a real common floor finish color and would hold up a lot better than a paint. The grain still shows through a little and it tends to look like an antique type wood finish.
- Q: my friend and I are going to be rooming together at UGA. we want to get a rug, but a big size (8x11) to cover most of the floor would be really expensive. would it be better to get a carpet instead?
- I would not use a bit of carpet, unless you can find some berber or very short staple carpet. If you have an Ikea nearby you can get pretty cheap rugs there- especially in the as is room where their floor models and slightly damaged goods go. If you have them, check stores like Sams and Costco, Marshall's, Ross, Big Lots, and TJ Maxx. They have great discount deals. Also consider making your own floor cloth. You will need a painter's canvas drop cloth, some no-sew hem tape (the kind you iron on) and a bit of non-skid rug padding, and some paints. It's pretty cheap and you can customize it. I got lots of how-to's and ideas by just googling how to floor cloth
