Q: i recently replaced my spark plug wires on my 97' lincoln continental. i was wondering if i should get plug wire shielding for them also......thanx: If it needed wire shielding it would have come with it from the factory. If you get OEM style plug wires then it will come with shielding as well, hence OEM, if not then it didn't come with them and doesn't need them.

Q: does it matter what gauge speaker wire to use when hooking up a powered subwoofer?: A Powered subwoofer does not use speaker wire - it usually uses a RCA cable. EDIT: Ok - some older subwoofers only have speaker inputs and speaker outputs. You run speaker wire from the Left/Right speaker outputs to the sub, it strips off the sounds it wants to produce, and it passes the other sounds onto the other speakers. I suggest some good oxygen free 12 ga wire. There is a roll off effect with higher frequency sounds and long runs of speaker wire. It usually does not matter for a Home Theater system, but you can hear it with a high-end music system. Thicker wire reduces the effect. Since with a sub you would be running wires to the sub, then back to the L/R speakers, you could be using 15-30 ft of wire. Get a spool of good 12 ga from a speaker building site or get some of the Carol 12 speaker wire from Home Depot.

Q: I have a bathroom exhaust fan with a light and heater function. The Heater has a red and white wire and the fan and lights have a black, a blue and two whites. There is a three switch outlet on the wall in the bathroom controlling these functions. In the attic there are 3 different wires going to the exhaust fan that I can't find out how to connect. There are 3 blacks, 3 whites and 3 grounds. How should I hook the switch to the exhaust fan wires? Please help: Blue, black, and red are all hot wires. Just attach each hot wire and its corresponding white wire to each switches black hot wire and white wire. When finished each switch will turn on the heater, light, or fan.

Q: Im installing a motion sensor which comes with 3 wires,red black and white and want to connect it to a indoor light that only comes with 2 wires white and black.How do I go about installing them and powering them?: I don't know what the wires on the motion sensor are except red and black are your live wires, and white is your neutral. The two wires off your light are black is power and white is neutral. You should find the instructions for your motion sensor, it should tell you how to hook it up. Try searching for your model at yahoo or google.

Q: Okay, i put a cd player in my Integra wrong in the first place an i blew my headlights, dash lights, and taillights. Are there separate wiring harness/ for the motor and interior? I have a B-series, I'm looking at a B-series Wiring Harness online an is that what i need? Or is there a separate interior wiring harness i need to make my lights work again? Q: I just bought an exhaust tip with leds which needs to be wired up to the brake lights on my mazda 626. Can somebody tell me which colour wire it is (positive) on the wiring to the brake light? Q: what are the limitations of international wire transfer: Your bank may set a limit on the amount they will allow per wire transfer, but that would be the only limit. My company accepts wire transfers for international business almost daily and there have been a couple of time when I have had to have the purchasing company send a 2nd wire for the balance because the 1st exceeded the banks allowable transfer amount. Of course when that happens you have to be sure that you include the mark up to the customer invoice because you will be charges for each wire transfer by your bank. (some banks don't charge for incoming wires, some do.)

You just Need to Hook the large Power wire for your amp direct to battery, The large black ground wire to the frame or body, Something metal. And the small Power wire To Switched power. IE, a terminal on the fuse block thats only hot with the key ON. Thats it. Good luck.

Q: I accidently spilled soda all over a bunch of wires and controllers. I cleaned the controllers off and they're not sticky, but what should i do about the wires?: Unplug any wires that are plugged in. Fold a damp sponge around each wire, and wipe it down. Make sure it's dry before plugging it back in. No big deal.
