Q:Hey I have a standard Epiphone Les Paul, and I just bought some brand new Burstbucker pickups online. The one's I bought haven't arrived yet but in the picture, it looks like there is only 1 wire coming out of each pickup. When I take my wire cover off, i can see 1 wire comes out, but it's really 2 wires insulated to look like 1. What can I do so that I can put these expensive pickups in my guitar??

The two wires inside the larger one coming out of your current pickup represent hot and sheild. The hot wire is the signal and the sheild is a negative or ground wire that is connected to a piece of foil that is wrapped around the inside of the wire. This eliminates most of the hum that may be generated over the wire and is called sheilding. The Burstbucker has a hot and a sheild also, however it is made to look like a vintage pickup and the single wire in the middle is hot and the metal braid around the outside is the sheild. You should connect the wire to the same tang on the volume pot that the old pickup was attached to. The braid should be attached to the back of the pickup.

Q:I just need to know what each wire is by the color because im trying to hook up my radio to it and the wires on it are different colors than the wires in my car i dnt kno wut is the ground/power/speaker wires or anything please help if you can. Thanks

go to auto zone or wal-mart or advance auto parts and buy the wiring kit for your car. they have them for just about every car made these days. cost like 10-15 bucks, and is a simple install.

Q:i just bought a 97 jeep wrangler..the soundbar isnquot;t hooked up. I pulled the carpet back and found the following: a red wire connecting the soundbar to under the dash (probably power), and a black wire connecting the soundbar to metal. there are 4 small wires unattached to anything coming from the soundbar, and a red and white sound wire coming from under the dash (actually has plugs like on a tv surround system), and a ground wire all unattached. how can i hook this mess up to make the soundbar work. i do have sound coming from the front dash speakers. thanks for help.

while you're switching spkrs you're able to purchase spkr harness from superb purchase,circut city and so on. which plugs into manufacturing unit harness and has a black and crimson coming off it. If the harness is decrease and you're no longer working an amp to the spkr then you definately probable purely have approximately 7 watts rms going to the spkr and you're able to be able to hook it up the two way and probably no longer tell the version.

Q:I have a phone line with 8 wires that is wired to the house, how do you select which wire to use on a 4 wire phone line?

Phone line will pick up noise easily with compare to Ethernet cable, the cable has shield to reduce the interference. There is a reason why Ethernet cable is using instead of phone line. Terminal block will be fine for your in house Ethernet, there is no switch required.

Q:i bought a programable thermostat that says it needs a c wire to be able to use the remote...i dont have one of these wires on my old thermastat but im kinda understanding the c wire was just to power a clock on certan thermostats is there a way to rig a c wire to power what i need???

The C is the 24 volt common. You will need an extra wire in the bundle from the stat to the furnace. You should have a C terminal in the furnace on the terminal strip. Look on the circuit board on the furnace low voltage board. If you have the extra wire, hook it up on both ends.

Q:I no longer have enough 0 gauge wire would it be bad to use 0 gauge power wire to the amp and 4 gauge wire to ground the amp?

all okorder /... or going into your audio dealer store asking for 3 to 5 ft of the 0 gauge wire for around 15 to 20 dollars at the max. you can also asking your friends for if the person has some extra wire willing to sale it for cheap, I totally would do it, and I have done that before.

Q:What happens when you hook these 2 wires up right along each other?

if you have an rca tv which works with 12 volts.......if the wires not connected to battery...there no problem. if connected to battery....the fuse blows.(close to battery on wire)....if there is no fuse....wires burn...risk of fire....do not forget...every device works with car battery MUST and MUST be eouipped fuse .

Are you stupid? All metals conduct electricity. Only ferrous (Iron containing) metals are magnetic.
