- Go to the cleaning closet and get some carpet spot remover. Your mother must have something like resolve or spot shot. Just spray, leave for a few minutes and rinse with a clean damp cloth using a blotting type motion, turning the cloth over to a clean spot so you don't grind the blush into the carpet. - Local carpet stores don t have access to a rug binder? Thats strange.. Look further, when I had my store we had a place that picked up and dropped off our carpet we needed to have bound or surged..It was a week turn around time for us. But to answer you question yes you can have a pc done any size , shape or form. Some additional options are a felt backing sewn on as an anti slip mat.Surging ran our custumers about 2.5 $ a l/f. and binding was $2.00 a l/f.. Of course this can vary but it ll put you in the ballpark , price wise.. Some carpet guys have a binding machine to bind edges for when they do a carpet base like a lot of hotels use instead of a wood base.Any flooring questions you can e mail me through my avatar.. GL.
- Q: I'm on a tight budget, so I can't afford an area rug. But I'd like one in a half-moon shape with my bed on top. Would there be any problems making a sort of decorative-rug out of fabric from someplace like Jo-annes? Just sew and go, right?And if there's not some glaring oversight I'm missing in that idea, what sort of fabric? Upholstery? Outdoors? Quilting?

- Q: i have a old rug its a shaggy type rug that i got when my great grandfather passed away and im not sure what year its from all i know is that its way over 20 years because he had it when i was born, and it was old then. i want to know what i can get to clean it with out it messing it up, right before he passed away he had put it in a box out in his barn and it smells its not really dirty it just smells and i've tried many things and all they do is just cover up the smell for a little while, if anyone know how i could get it cleaned please let me know, thanks

- Steam clean it. Buy one, rent one or hire a professional. They are perfectly fine on carpets. I have my own steam cleaner and it's gets used constantly. Don't waste your money on scotch guard products. They are surface only and once you wipe up a spill or clean the carpet, the scotch guard is gone. Probably one of the most over rated products on the market. The main things that harm carpet are not cleaning regularly, not vacuuming regularly or choosing the wrong carpet pad.
