Firstly i dont know how they can justify selling them to you, they sound tight. A carpet has a five year life span,(this is a general guideline) so i would find out how long they have been in there, and they cannot charge you for this time while they have been in there as you were not occupying the property, and they cannot expect you to pay the same amount as it would for you to recarpet the whole property. say they have been in thier three years, this would mean the carpets have a two year life left. i suggest going to a carpet shop with the measurements and getting a quote and then divide that by five, and if they have been in there 3 years offer them 2/5ths of the price the carpet shop quote you. the reason i am saying do it like this is because i work in a letting/estate agents, and this is how we resolve issues with security deposits if the landlord wants to claim for carpet damages. As a rule of thumb, rug burns are too shallow to cause scarring. You will probably have some residual redness in the area after it finishes healing, but that is not a scar, and will go away in a few days when replaced by healthy skin tissue. Even if you do get a scar, it will just be flat and the color will fade in a few weeks and it won't be noticeable. It sounds like yours is almost healed, so there's not all that much you can do. Don't scratch it, don't peel away the skin. If it's very itchy you can moisturize.

Roll the corner under very tightly to bend it a bit, then lay something heavy (a stack of books) on it for a day. This should work, but if not, try getting some adhesive made to hold rugs in place. You can get it for carpeted floors with a rug, or non-stick items to hold the rug on hardwood or vinyl floors as well.

I don't know that they are but you ought to call the co. and ask. You know how different companies are about their vacumns. This could be totally the truth. Call and find out. If you find out from the co. then it won't be heresay and you will know for a fact.

I felt guilty keeping it, but he insisted I kept it anyways, and am now wanting to sell it, however I know nothing about it. Q:We live in a really modern apartment- it was once a warehouse and they developed them into apartments with exposed pipes and such. We just got some couches... they are destressed black so sometimes they look really dark brown in the light, but they are black. We have the original oak floors with all the scrapes and knots in the them. We have dark wood for all of our furniture. We are trying to figure out a color scheme for the living room and more importantly a rug that would go. Any advice would be great! It seems that all the colors we like have brown as the main color in the rug and we weren't sure if that would go.Thanks!

Open and airy can soon become dark and closed in if everything you put into a room is dark. There are plenty of rugs that have brown in them but aren't all brown.
