- Q:I'm house sitting at my mom's friend's house and their dog threw up on carpet. I found some cleaning supplies but none for carpet.
- Your house is situated in your mom's friends house . There have a dog and this dog threw up your carpet , But you don't know how to clean your carpet . You can buy a brass from market and clean your carpet , or you stop that's dog to come your home .
- Q:I don't have a stitch of carpet in my house, but my floors always seem dirty, even 20 minutes after sweeping. Carpets or flooring, and why?
- if i had it to do over again i would have put the snap together wood looking laminate throughout my home instead of carpet. carpet gathers more dust and pet dander, and stains. with the laminate i could have kept it clean between times with a simple swiffer mop cloth.vacuums make so much dust unless you spend an arm and a leg on them, i hate them. next time my floors are redone, it will be laminate. when we tore our carpet up i was shocked at the nastiness under it, not only the dirt that was trapped that the vacuum couldnt get, but the padding had made a lot of its own nasty dusty crap under there from being worn and walked on....i did put down berber carpet this time and no padding, not next time though. we dont wear shoes in the house, i dont know about rude,( it is rude when someone else wears their shoes on your carpet for sure) but its considered nasty, i dont wasnt someone possibly tracking dog knows what on my carpets...carpets gather dust, hair, and anything else that floats by.
- Q:I bought a kitchen rug from Jcpenny's last year some time and it is dirty now and doesn't look nice, so I was wondering how often do you have to replace kitchen rugs?
- well...?? can't you just wash it? i mean, really. you could be using your money on something necessary instead of kitchen rug replacements. if its raggedy and nasty, sure why not? but if its just a little dirty, you can wash it right? yepp .
- Q:Would like to clean my light carpet and get it back to a good color! mostly heavy traffic areas w/ some little areas w/ some stains. How do you use simple green as a solution? anything better to use?
- If okorder /. Not only did they clean the stains but they did the whole room too for the same price.
- Q:Gouache paint stuck on the carpet, how to get rid of?
- Can use water soaked sticky paint, the gouache properly dissolved with water after brushing, make up the water with a paper towel dipped in dry. And then use special carpet cleaner, local cleaning. Although it is water-based paint, it should be treated as soon as possible.
- Q:a girl wants to buy a rug for a room that is 21 ft wide and 22 ft long. she wants to leave a uniform strip of floor around the rug. she can afford to buy 132 square feet of carpeting. what dimensions should the rug have? how many ft?
- (21-2x)(22 -2x) =<132 21*22 -42x -44x +4x^2<=132 462-86x +4x^2 <=132 4x^2 -86x +330 <=0 2x^2 -43x +165 <=0 2x^2 -10x -33x+165<=0 2x(x-5) -33(x-5)<=0 (2x-33)(x-5)<=0 x =5..................Ans Hence strip of 5 ft is left Then dimension should be Length =22-10 =12 feet ......................Ans Width =21 -10 =11 feet .......................Ans Area of rug will be =12x11 =132 feet
- Q:Basically, my dad washed the rug with laundry detergent. But he put it in an area to dry, where there is no sunlight. So it didn't dry all the way and ended up creating this mildew smell on it. I decided to wash it again, but this time with a solution called Fiber Cleansing, that is used to fight stains on carpets. And I vacuumed the rug with a wet/dry vacuum to get all the water out of it. I got most of it out, but still had a smell to it. So I decided to pour a box of baking soda all over it, to get the smell out of it. (What the internet told me to do) After leaving the baking soda on there for 2 days, still nothing. The rug itself is pretty dry now, still a bit damp on the underside of it. It still smells. What can I do?
- Forget the bleach and any other solutions given. Re launder the rug but this time add 1/3 cup bicarb soda and 1/3 cup white vinegar to the wash and 1/3 cup white vinegar to the rinse. Both of these will absorb the odour and the white vinegar will kill any mould/mildew. Make sure the rug is dried where there is an airflow, even if there is no sunlight, but sunlight is good. The trick is to make sure the rug dries as quickly as possible and a good airflow helps this happen Re what you did with the baking powder..... the rug needed to be dry first. As it was still damp the mildew was still growing. Sprinkling bicarb soda on a dry rug that has an odour will absorb the odour. I promise, if you follow the instructions, the above will work. that
- Q:What is the carpet on the floor that is used for stepping on the doorway?
- Mat is an effective at the entrance of scraping mud and water, keep the indoor floor clean products. It is soft and comfortable. Unique anti UV additives, to prevent fading and embrittlement, can withstand the sun and rain of the outdoor environment.
- Q:I have an ugly pink-tan carpet that has to go. Underneath the carpet is wood. But the wood is a bit rough and doesn't have any color to it. How do i remove my carpet and fix up the wood floor underneath?
- The carpet need to be pulled as you said. Start at a corner with a pair of pliers to get a grip and pull back. If the room is of any size, I pull back along one wall and use a utility knife and cut through the backing rather than through the top. I cut in strips from 4/8 foot wide depending how long the room is. Roll up with carpet side out for easier handling, I use duct tape or strong twine to tie the roll. Then remove the pad and tack strip. A floor scraper will remove the stapes. If there is hard wood under it, call a flooring guy/gal to refinish it. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar. - Q:so about two days ago i spilt a huge bottle of maple syrup on my carpet. i used some 409 carpet cleaner and i sprayed a lot of febreeze but the entire room still smells like syrup and the area where the syrup spilt has made the carpet really stiff and hard. how do i get the syrup out and make the carpet go back to normal?? i also dont want to use bleach or anything cause then the color change would be noticible
- try mixing super hot water and BLUE Dawn dish soap... cover the spot with the water mix, put a towel over it and use a iron and over the spot over n over till its gone.. the spot will come up into the towel you might have to keep moving the towel around.. I haven't used it on syrup but it worked on every other stain I tried it on good luck
