- Q: He has wrecked most of his toys but loves to chew my old living room rug . Please answer x
- He's teething really bad so get him a knuckle bone to chew on plus some ice cubes, also a pain killer from the vets. Don't let him chew your rug because it's your home and you need to keep your items safe, spray some Crib Stop on it, it tastes bitter and it's meant for stables because Horses chew the wood, it's really good stuff to use. He will have lots of bits in his poos my GSD passed a bit of a plastic carrier bag, I was to late to stop him chewing the corner of it, after that all bags went into a drawer. Your lovely pup has 42 teeth coming through so bear with him another few weeks and he should be fine. You see the rug as old the pup would not know the difference between it and an Oriental priceless rug our Queen knows that, then again she can afford to smile at her Corgis seeing that we pay for them to live in a Palace.
- Q: Whats the best cleaner/chemical to get blood stains out of a rug? I was working on something in the trunk of my BMW 325i and i cut my finger. But the pool of blood wont come out of the carpet no matter what i try. Someone told me to try using milk but that didnt work either. I have to bring my car to get inspected and i need to get the stain out beforehand...Any suggestions?

- Q: Carpets were used in China in 500 BC. The earliest known carpets originated in China and Iran in the 5th century BC. In 1606, carpets woven by looms were first used near Paris, France. Today's carpets are usually woven from man-made fiber and wool.
- The vivid history tells us that the carpet was originally made by the ancestors to keep out the cold. During the Qin and Han Dynasties, the nomadic people outside the Great Wall began to weave and use carpets as cold ground objects. There were carpets with fine workmanship in the Western Han Dynasty. With the elimination of the Huns by Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, the Silk Road, a trade route to West Asia and Europe, was opened. The silk road not only carries silk, carpets, porcelain, tea and spices, but also promotes the exchange and dissemination of eastern and Western cultures. The Chinese carpet weaving technology came to the Middle East and Europe along with China's Silk Road through Central Asia. At the same time, it also showed the Chinese people the Persian carpet representing the Persian civilization. In Persian carpet patterns, there are still many patterns exactly the same as Chinese carpet patterns. Others believe that the pattern of Persian carpet comes from China, but it has been carefully modified and added Persian color in the hands of Persian designers, so as to become a pattern with Middle East style. Since the Western Han Dynasty, the two ancient civilizations have been learning from each other, exchanging and drawing lessons from each other. Traditional Chinese patterns, traditional Persian patterns and weaving techniques have been integrated with each other for a long time, thus achieving an elegant and delicate carpet art.
- Q: I have a large family room - 25 x 16 feet. I currently have a 9x12 rug on one side and want to add another on the other side of the room. The rug that works best with my existing rug only comes in 5'8x9 or 8'8x10. The first seems a little small and the second a little big. Can you have two large rugs in one room or does that overpower the room? I would only have about 14 between the two rugs if I went with the larger rug. It seems like it would look like a little landing strip. But I don't want the small one to look like a postage stamp. What to do?
- Lay out a template of each rug size for the chair and ottoman area. You should be able to see more clearly which size would be best. Also the rug in that area does not have to be large enough for the pieces to set totally on. It merely has to define the area and add interest.
- Q: Why is there so much chromatism when producing multi color carpet
- So different batches, because dyeing is ralated with the temperature and humidity of the air, the higher the humidity, the darker the color, the lower the temperature, the brighter the color
- Q: How are those carpets differ from each other?
- Floors scrubbers perform the same work as getting down on your hands and knees with a scrubber in hand. The difference is they do it better despite not being able to clean under obstructions and corners. They're more hygienic as the anatomy effectively separates clean water from waste water while a squeegee attachment scoops up dirty water. A scrubbing head works cleaning agent dispensed by an automated system onto floors as the other components gear up to finish the job.
- Q: Is there a way to bleach my carpet? Not to get a stain out or anything. But my carpet is a bache color, and I would like to make it white.Would putting bleach on it make it brighter?
- rent a carpet shampoo machine, mix a 10 -1 ration of water to bleach and give it a go, keep all windows open , then use a wet/dry vac to soak up any remaining water from the Carpet
- Q: really want one like this but i will not pay 500 bucks for a 8 by 10 rug....(or how ever much it costs..)just, where can i find a big, fluffy, soft rug like this one for an affordable price? (i like the off white and the teal) = ) thanks i guess :)
- The rug in the photo is made from wool. If you have pets in your home, wool is not a good choice as the pet will mark the rug with urine, numerous times if given the chance. They can sense another animal close by, in this case sheep, and will ruin the rug. As a pro carpet cleaner, I've seen this happen a million times. If you want a less expensive, plush rug, look for one made from Nylon. To save money, pick out a remnant at a carpet store, and have them or some one they know, sew a border around the perimeter.
- Q: im debating on putting carpet or tile into my bearded dragons tank instead of brown paper bags. is it hard cleaning poop off the carpet? because with tile you can just wipe it up. what one would be better?
- Don't let my wife know I told you this. For many years I used Commercial carpet in my snake cages. I had several pieces cut to fit. WHen one got soiled I would just remove it and put in another one. When I got a stack of dirty ones I would wait until she wasn't home and throw them in the washer/dryer. They clean up like new and last for years. Been married 37 years and she has no clue!
- Q: I used a carpet shampooer along with a solution of natures miracle and a small scoop of oxy clean to clean my carpets. My cat had peed a spot in one of my rooms, so i just went ahead and shampooed all the carpet areas. I know that the Nature's miracle says that the carpet has to be 100% dry for the odors to go away. Well it has been over a week and I have noticed that everywhere I shampooed now smells horribly like cat urine! It is overwhelming! The carpet shampooer is kind of old, it was given to me, and I am wondering if it had some odors in it. I took the shampooer outside and took it apart and sprayed it with vinegar but I am scared to use it again because i think that it distributed the urine odor all over my house :( I don't know what to do, the cat urine odor is just everywhere now! What do i do to get rid of it....do i just need to get a new shampooer?
- Go to the grocery store, where you can rent shampooers. They're industrial strength and really clean a carpet. Do a second all over shampoo, then again with vinegar rinse.
