Carpet / Rug through Hand Make for Hotel Comfortable

Q: I had to pull back the carpet in my hallway. How do I get the edges back down smoothe along the walls? There are strips of carpet tacs.
Carpet Tacks
Q: In sims bustin out people are always saying in order to get married you need a love rug. I look at everything in buy/build mode. Do you have to unlock? Can someone please tell me where to find the love rug?
You do not need to buy a rug in order to get married. There is a bear skin rug in buy mode / decorative that you can relax on and make-out. To get married in Bust Out mode, you just need to be in good relationship and in love with someone from the Tootie or Frootie household. Then you can just ask them to marry you. If they are hungry, need to pee, etc. they may refuse. If you are in Freeplay mode, 2 adult sims already in the same household cannot get married, but you can ask sims in a different house to marry you if there are 3 or fewer sims in the household already. Freeplay has a 4 sims per house limit.
Q: Personally, I think they are kind of dumb. They get all messed up, are hard to wash and attract dog hair like no other. Do you think it makes a house look cheesy with no rugs in the bathrooms, entryways etc?
i think its just something to give design and stuff. but yea its pretty dumb. but i if you have wood floors and you put a table there. it would be ideal to have a rug so you don't scratch the floor. and if you have wood floors having a rug would make a good spot for you to just lay down and chill. my dad changed my house to all wood floors and i liked carpet a lot better. Just for living carpet was better. its more comfortable but cleaning wise and stuff. its terrible lol and people dont really have rugs in entranceways. those are floor mats which is different. its so you can rub the mud of your feet when its rainy outside. And as for the bathroom their usually tile. . .so idk why you would put a rug there. . .and it would get all wet and stuff and dry kinda slow.
Q: Gouache paint stuck on the carpet, how to get rid of?
Gouache is a powder pigment, water, and use toner and glue mixture, easy to clean, not like oil pigment that can not be washed out.
Q: Great landlord. Don't want to damage beautiful floors. Need to have rug lay flat. In living room. Carpet is thin. needs padding
A true pad won t really work since it ll bunch up,make it to thick and cause a tripping hazard.. What you should use is a special mat made just for rugs over hardwood. This type allows the rug to stay it place w/o slipping and bunch up, allows the wood to properly breathe and not stain the wood . These are bought any where wood and flooring are sold, just get the kind made for rugs over wood. Since you know your rug size you can get the closest size to your rug. You can even cut these and trim them to fit so the whole rug is covered from below. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar. GL
Q: Not the luxury ones, just like the ones that are on the kitchen floor with tassles.
rugs are made of Animal or plant fibers, including wool, cotton, sisal, jute, seagrass or bamboo. Man-made material such as viscose, rayon, nylon, acrylic or polypropylene/olefin can also be used.
Q: without steam cleaning the carpet how do I remove dried on stains from rugs carpets?
I agree that a steam cleaning is the best bet, but you may also be able to blot some stains. Use a Oxi-Clean to soak the area, then immediately blot. Do it again and blot again. Do it one last time and leave a pile of folded rags or a towel on the spot then put something waterproof and heavy on the towel overnight. The rags/towel will soak up the water and hopefully the worst of the stain will be gone. I've also found Spot Shot, available in some grocery stores, to be a great carpet stain remover. Good luck!
Q: i've asked this question 3 times before, but it hasn't worked :(Red is booked in for a trace/blanket clip in a couple of days, and i was wondering if i would need to rug her up a little bit more? she is a thoroughbred chestnut (someone told me that chestnuts have thinner skin??) and is in a 100g fill w/ a neck rug atm....the coldest it has been lately would be about 10/11 degrees c....the next rug we have is a 250g fill with neck rug, so it's quite a step up...Um... yeah... would i need to start putting that on, or do you think she will be O.K??
It's too late to clip now really unless your horse is in a LOT of work, as it will take off the top of her summer coat so she will lose her coat's water-shedding and wind-proof qualities. If she still has quite a lot of her winter coat, I would say it's time to give her a good groom over with a shedding blade and rubber curry and a bath on a dry day if you can. If you really are set on clipping her for whatever reason, stick to taking the least hair off possible and go for putting her fleece or cooler rug under the light one in the day and the warmer rug on at night. You would be surprised by how cold it is at 2am!
Q: I am going to pay to have my carpets cleaned. What is your opinion on the best way/method and service? (USA)
Hi If you were looking to have your whole carpet cleaned. I would recommend a Chem Dry Carpet Cleaning. As it is a low moister cleaning system that uses a product called “The Natural”, which is safe for kids and pets.
Q: This old rug has been stored in a musty damp place. It's beautiful, and I want to try to clean it and keep it. When I started to vacuum it, I found the backing in places was turning to sand and the threads connected to it were separating. The suction was too much. So, before I can clean it, I need to treat the back somehow in order to keep the rug intact. Does anyone know how I can do that? Taking it to someone who can restore it is out of the question.
Then it's not a real oriental rug. A true oriental carpet will be something that could be turned over and the weave would be visible on the back side; it is not held together by a rubber backing. If your carpet had rubberized backing on it, this means it was a commercial carpet with an oriental design. Those backings are not meant to last forever, and they simply deteriorate with exposure to air and the elements. There is nothing you can do to restore it, to my knowledge. The rubberized backing has broken down, and that's irreversible - part and parcel of the product that you purchased. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Just this summer I had to toss two such carpets at church. One of them had backing that was dry and powdery; the other, much cheaper, had to be peeled off the hallway, and we had to spray with orange oil and go at the backing with a putty knife to remove the backing from the floor...a messy and nasty job. Be glad you never put that on the floor. You'd be cussing if you had to remove it.
