- Q: I am looking at buying a LCD flat-panel HDTV monitor that I plan on using as both a tv and computer monitor. I have been looking at a 23 inch widescreen Philips monitor (23PF5320), however I am worried the resolution (1366x768) is not high enough to be used as a computer monitor. Will my desktop look normal or will everything appear warped and larger than normal because of this resolution? Thanks in advance for any responses.
- 1366x 768 may be a bit small for a 23 inch montior. im using 1024x 728 on a 17 inch monitor and its just perfect. i would go with a higher resolution if you video card can support a higher one. you have to think a 23 inch monitor is going to make things really BIG! so a higher resolution will make them seem more normal.

- 1). Yes, but only because your monitor is 16:10 and not a true native 16:9. Just select 16:9 aspect ratio and the bars won't be visbile or very unnoticable (depends on monitor). I don't know if the game will automatically play at 720p, you might need to enable it in the dashboard. 2). All games support 16:9 480i, use that setting. It should play in 720p which is 3). Halo 3 supports 480i/480p and 720p (not 1080i) 4). Most games support 16:9 480i/480p or greater and the game resolution will be rendered in 16:9, your monitor might stretch it to 16:10 or just have very small black bars. 5). On a 19 monitor, 720p is very high resolution and the Xbox should not strech the aspect ratio of the image too much. - LCD Monitors are better, especially Samsung and LG; longer life span, cheaper. I prefer LCD because of the price and the quality, and uses less energy ^_^. Plasma are more expensive and theres really no need in buying them, its pretty much the same and they burn in a couple years. LCDs are way cheaper, energy savers, and pretty clear, but its just less bright and clear, but who cares you can hardly evennotice it. good luck ^_^

- Yes all around but how all depends on what connections your monitor has. If it only has a blue D-Sub connection, then it must be connect to a PC first. Then you can install a TV tuner, most of which also have a connection for composite, and component video. If it has DVI or HDMI you can use the above method or hook it to any HD cable box or HD terrestrial tuner with either DVI or HDMI. They use the same video signal so if one has HDMI and the other has DVI, you can simply get an HDMI to DVI cable or adapter. Some monitors come with component connections(Green, blue, and red) and this can simply be hooked to a cable box or HD terrestrial tuner.
