Q:I have been living in China for five years and in that five years I have acquired MANY stuff cuz of the massive price difference between China and Europe. I have two 28 inch Full HD (1920x1200) TFT LCD monitors, brand and model is: Hannsg HZ281 which I would like to transport to Europe with air cargo. I only have the original packageing for one which is new but for the other I have no packageing. The original packageing onthe new one is very sturdy btw, on the outside there is a hard cardboard box and the screen is fixed in the middle with this white foamy and hard thing (sorry I dont know the name in english) but I think polyurethane or something like that my main concern is that I dont think the cargo area will be heated cuz there will be no passangers there so temps will get below freezing I assume. Is that harmful to my screens? Any advice to how to wrap or package the new one better if needed? Any advice on how to package the old one for which I have not the original box? Thank you.
I don't think it'll be a problem. Monitors are shipped all over the world in air cargo all the time. I've even had LCD monitors left in my car overnight with temps down to -17 degrees Fahrenheit where I live, so I think you're fairly safe about the temps. As for packaging, the original packaging for the one should be good enough, for the other make sure that there's plenty of cushioned padding around it and a few inches between it and the box sides to keep it safe. Double boxing it (box within another padded box) will provide the safest packaging.
Q:I have a Gateway computer, not even a year old, and the LCD monitor isn't working. When I turn the computer on, it lights up for a second and the Gateway logo comes on, and then it just goes black and won't do anything, but the buttons on the sides light up. What do I do?
sometimes you can unplug the lcd monitor for awhile, plug it back in and try again - might help. this has happened to me too - and chances are that the video drivers need to be reinstalled - i use an old video card to do this because your current video card will not get a display at all - I don't know how to help you unless you have an old video card to use. A computer shop could reinstall the drivers pretty cheaply.
Q:I could go out and buy a 19 LCD Monitor right now, but I want to know how wand why they are better than CRT monitors. I have a 17 CRT monitor now, which doesn't have the best color. I have to the nVidia digital vibrance feature just so it won't look bad.The 19 LCD I had my eye on has a 2ms response time and a 3000:1 contrast ratio, which is apparently really goodCould someone tell me what differences I would notice playing games, or viewing pictures, etc? Thanks a lot, Mark
lcd video demonstrate contraptions or lcd video demonstrate contraptions are changing the previous CRT or Cathode Ray Tube monitors and are a great way better in a huge majority of applications. There are numerous reward of lcd video demonstrate contraptions over the previous CRT reflects. together as lcd video demonstrate contraptions are compact and mild-weight and devour much less potential approximately 20W while the CRT video demonstrate contraptions are cumbersome and heavy ingesting upto 150W. An lcd video demonstrate produces completely sharp pictures with suitable image geometry while in CRT the sharpness is constrained and it has a tendency to blur extra at extreme brightness and with the ageing of the tubes and suffers from geometric distortions. lcd video demonstrate contraptions have a relentless tonal scale and could demonstrate text cloth with fantastic assessment while the CRT video demonstrate contraptions demonstrate good shiny factors which will reason different areas of the image to dim and additionally has damaging text cloth assessment because of the fact of constrained bandwidth. lcd video demonstrate contraptions do no longer commonly flicker while a faint flicker can constantly be talked approximately in a CRT video demonstrate.
Q:i have an aser 23 LCD Monitor and my son put the contrast on and the screeen is BLACK! I cant figure out how to change the contrast on the screen back to normal!. HELP!
OK on the monitor there should be about 4 buttons not including power just hit menu and there should be two options one deals with brightness and the other with CONTRAST go down to contrast option with the plus or minus key in the monitor if you have them and hit menu again this should open something that controls the contrast and you can customize it the way you want hope it helps
Q:I have three lcd monitors that are broken. Can i do anything with the spare parts?
take out the front glass layer and you will have a cool lamp
Q:I am looking at building another computer and was wondering if I could use a LCD tv for my monitor? I quickly looked at some of the 24 inch monitors and noticed compared to a LCD tv they were more expensive. I could get a much bigger LCD tv for the same price as a smaller widescreen monitor. Any suggestions on which TV's work the best. Im looking at around a 26 inch.

Q:how would i do this my lcd monitor has a hdmi and dvi input.
You need a tuner that outputs HDMI. I have a Sony tuner like this. I have to connect it to a TV antenna (or satellite feed) and then to the LCD panel.
Q:can you fix a backlight on a lcd monitor? i got a comcrap wf1907 lcd monitor from a friend tht found it outside his work. i went to turn it on and it was working ok but it was flickering a bit. after leaving it on for a few mins it just shuts off, i can turn it back on for a sec but it goes off again. when i was messing with the setting on the monitor it was showin like 10,000 hours on back or somthing like that which is kinda ridiculous. 400+ days of leaving it on LOL. so im just wonder if its even the backlight and or if it could be fixed or worth fixing since it is COMCRAP

Q:I have an lcd monitor with speakers installed in them and currently have a cord that connects to my computer that displays everything, but with no sound. Whats the name of the cord that works for audio and visual? Sorry I'm completely ignorant on this topic

Q:I currently have an HP Pavilion dv2000 that has a VGA output, but I also have the LG W2253TQ monitor that takes DVI input. My graphics card should be able to support DVI, but I was wondering what I would need to buy to connect the two. Would DVI-I work? Or only DVI-D? Or is it even necessary?
In order to connect your computer a TV you will need some type of video output on your computer and/or video input on your TV. Many video cards will have an S-video out connection on the back of the computer that you can use to connect to your TV. Or if your TV has a VGA input you can connect a VGA cable from where your monitor goes on the back of the computer to this VGA input on your TV. Basically you need some sort of video output on the computer and input on the TV that will work together.
