Q: What are the advantages of the single-cylinder and twin-cylinder of the two-column lift
Double-column lifter Double-column car lift is a special mechanical lifting equipment commonly used in automobile repair and maintenance units. It is widely used in the maintenance and maintenance of small lift (car lifter) for small cars such as cars The The double-column car lifts lift the car in the air while saving a lot of ground space for easy ground operations. But the double-column car lift for the largest saving material, generally removed the floor. Because there is no floor, so that the torque of the column need to rely on the ground to offset, so the ground is very demanding, if there are beams (gantry lift) to rely on beams offset. Two-column lift is symmetrical and asymmetrical. The arms of the four arms of the symmetrical lift are approximately equal, so that the center of the car (or the center of mass) is in the middle of the column. For the daily maintenance of cars such as pickups and box trucks, this symmetrical lift May be the best choice. But for some of the column width is not large enough symmetrical double column lift, the car can not open the door after lifting is a big drawback. The column of the asymmetric lift lifts backwards by an angle (about 30 °) and the forearm is slightly shorter than the rear arm. When the car is parked in the proper position of the asymmetric lift, the position of the car is moved backwards, so we can easily move in and out of the door. Moreover, the column of the asymmetric lifter rotates to ensure that the center of gravity of the vehicle is securely positioned between the posts.
Q: .. uld superconducting coils be mounted beneath a car to repel it against the force of gravity?Theoretically if it worked, the coils would act as permanent magnets so that relatively little energy would be needed to lift the car against the force of gravity.
no. The earths magnetic field is not concentrated enough to overcome gravity, otherwise we could do it with regular electromagnets now. (maglev trains have to have two sets of magnets- they don't rely on the earths magnetic field) The magnetic field of earth is also variable so even if gravity was weak enough for it to work you would be in danger of either crashing into the ground or flying up into the air depending on where you were driving.
Q: I studied about gyroscopic couple, is that the force, if i want to turn my car 2500 kgs at 40 m radius by different speed, which is dangerous to tilt my car down. 1) 60 km/h. 2) 80 Km/h. 3) 100 km/h. 4) gt;120 km/h
The centripetal force, is provided by the frictional force applied by road. This can never be more than normal reaction, mg. mv^2/r mg or v^2 gr v sq rt[gr] or v sq rt[9.81*40] or v 19.81 m/s or 0.0198*3600 km/h 71.31 km/h. So 2), 3) and 4) are dangerous speeds to have while turning
Q: I think I‘ve seen this in strong man competitions. I‘m not talking about any trucks, vans, or SUVs. Just the rear end of a typical compact car.
If you've been strength training for quite a while it is very possible to lift the END of a car, especially the trunk end of a compact car. Even the engine (typically the front) end of a car if you are an above average powerlifter/strongman. The raw strength that it takes is not as much as many seem to SPECULATE. The cars suspension takes you to nearly the apex of the deadlifting motion, as it decompresses it is taking some of the load for you (the deadlift motion mimics the lift of one end of a car). So when you have the full weight of the end of the car you are already at your strongest range of motion of this lift. If you want to see it done find some powerlifters or strongmen at your local gym (NOT bodybuilders, their focus is on aesthetics of their bodies, not on power) and you probably can easily convince one or more to lift the end of a car for you! So the final answer is that it is not hard to lift the end of a car after years of dedication to grueling strength training.
Q: what is the name or a name of a lift on a car because i want to put 24s on a buick century
called a lift kit, which comes with suspension mods, but on a car i believe you have to replace the axles also so visit your local performance/modification center near you for help, so its more money than lifiting a truck which is prob all you'll find on the internet so just visit your local mod place and they will help you with everything good luck
Q: How do spoilers on sports cars help reduce lift?
The other person was mostly right, except he had the actual physics backwards. The airplane wing is shaped so that the air above it is moving faster than the air below, which means there is less pressure on top of the wing, eventually leading to lift to pick the plane off the ground. A spoiler on a car works the exact same way but the opposite. The bottom side of the wing plane for the car spoiler is longer than the top side, so the air moving under the bottom of the spoiler is moving faster and thus has lower pressure. This forces the rear of the car to not lift at higher speeds (since a car itself is shaped like an airplane wing with a flat bottom and rounded top, so the air travels farther over the top of the car than under it, creating lift at higher speeds).
Q: How can you determine it?Use 2,400lbs as an example to work with.I‘m very bad at physics, but very VERY curious to know the answer(and I‘ve done it myself before, so I‘m wondering how much weight I was or needed to have lifted).Any suggestions would be good, even if not 100% correct.ONE rear side of the car. Thanks so much for any help!
ONE rear side of the car? How many rear sides do cars have again? That makes me think you meant something else. If you've lifted the back half of a car, look up the weight of the model, but I doubt you lifted the rear off the ground of a 2,400 lbs car.
Q: I got a lift home with a man in this beautiful big shiny Huge black car.I was SO impressed i was lost for words really so never mentioned how nice his car was.I didn‘t want to seem like i was gushing or trying to chat him up or something.Should i have just said it anyways what should i have told him. I was probably going to say sometimes silly anyways.like its like a ‘James Bond‘ car or something daft like this. What do you think?
Don't worry - he already knows it's nice. He probably thinks you're cool for not having to say it! .
