Q:What jack will get the car the absolute highest without spending money on a professional lift? (Preferably the entire car, but doesn't have to be)
The best price-to-performance ratio is the hydraulic (hand-operated) horizontal jack on four wheels. It has the necessary height and load capacity to lift most cars sufficiently to be able to lift one or two wheels (side or axle) off the road. The entire car can be lifted only by the professional stationary column lift. Important: NEVER work under a car on any kind of movable jack; ALWAYS chock the opposite wheel and brake the car before lifting; ALWAYS use a tripod or similar passive support as safety against falling off or jack failure.
Q:Will we soon be able to find a more stable way to harness nuclear energy and use it in things as minor as car engines or possibly even space ships to make distant space travel possible?
How would you remove the waste products? they have nuclear capability plant life that remove depleted uranium rods, yet how in the international do you anticipate them to take away billions of them? and how would the operator shelter themselves from radiation? every physique would could positioned on a radiation tournament everywhere any further.
Q:Hey guys, im working on my extremely amateur rally car and am wondering if lift blocks are an option,, i want to get about 2 inches, and im wondering how these work and if they work on anything but 4x4s? i know its not a good idea to do things "cheaply" but at the moment that is my only option and the cars not worth investing thousands into, thanks.
Lift blocks go inbetween the leaf springs and the axles on trucks, not always the best choice anyways since they allow twisting of the axle against the U-joint and the driveshaft. I doubt you have leaf springs on your car. You should have 4 wheel independent suspension using coilovers. what that means is that you have a shock inside a large spring that controls the ride of your vehicle. There are aftermarket coil-over spacers out there, just dont go too cheap and do the hockey-puck trick, its not safe. If you decide to go with coilover spacers, you should expect a rougher/stiffer ride becuase the spring will be more compressed, and that can lead to sudden loss of control while driving over larger bumps/holes. If your goal is higher off the ground, then i would highly recommend just installing larger tires, and if you dont want to invest alot of money into the car this is your best choice. 20 min with a saws-all and a hammer in your wheel wells can provide the ability to go up 1 or 2 diameter tire sizes Without knowing the year/make/model this is the best advice i can give you.
Q:Can A Repo Take My CAR from A Stacker Lift??
yes, it happened to me, but I never found out why.
Q:Makes it goeS up and down
For the best answers, search on this site shorturl.im/awfX7 That's chocolate abuse. You could get arrested or at least fined for that violation!! Take the foil off Darlin'!
Q:I finally got the car dried out, but i can‘t get the musty smell to go away Oust Air Freshener doesn‘t work. Any other suggestions?
You'll need to get the interior steam cleaned. Steam cleaning it is the only way to get rid of the smell.
Q:does anyone know if local car garages put on lift kits. one shop near me is napa auto parts.
Well i would assume that most local garages would install the kit for you. Depending on what kind of vehicle you have, depends on how involved it is to install. Could take a couple of days or so for some that i've seen. But its hard to say since i dont know what rig you have and what kind of lift kit you are talking about. But i'd talk to the guys at the Napa about doing it. If they werent interested, then just ask them for some names that might be interested.I'm sure they would know of someone. Good luck!
Q:the place is pretty secure, I'm just concerned if the jack stands are reliable enough to withstand that amount of time. What do you think?
Certainly. A cheap set of jack sands will be rated at 1,000 lbs or more of weight. This means 4 of them can easily support 4,000lbs. I own a 1997 Dodge Intrepid. It's a big 4 door luxury car and it weighs only 3,400 lbs. Check under the hood and on the drivers door for your cars data plate. It will tell you how much your car weighs. Unless you own an armor plated vehicle or a 1949 Buick it will weigh less than you think. The only thing you have to worry about is your car falling off the stands. Set your stands as low as possible to get your tires off the ground. This way if it falls it will be a very short distance. If you have steel belted radials on your car you are worried about nothing. I have had cars with radials parked for as long as a year with no permanent damage. Flat spots develop but just a few miles of driving, enough to warm up the tires, and they work themselves out. The only problem is if your car is parked on dirt. Over time the tires will sink into the ground forming low spots that collect water and will rot your tires. To solve this problem simply put pieces of 2x6 boards about 1 1/2 to 2 feet long under each tire. This will keep it from sinking into the ground. Also, if your jack stands are on dirt you must put boards under them to keep them from sinking into the ground. This can cause your car to fall off the stands. Hope this helps. Good luck.
Q:I have a 03 Lincoln town car and I‘m wanting to put 24‘s on it. It has air bags on the rear and springs on the front.
Make sure you turn the suspension airbags off before you lift any part of the vehicle. I believe the switch is located in the trunk.
