Q: Where on my car to lift from with my jack?
Lift the front first from the middle of the vehicle as high as possible and put the jack stands on the frame rail, the go to the rear and do the same.
Q: ok I‘m getting a new car but I don‘t kow if I should get a 2001 Impala with 126,000 miles on it and it needs few tires but it‘s only 5,000! or a 2002 with low miles new tires and it cost 8,000. I really think I should get the cheaper one cause people tell me it‘s a really good deal! what do you think???
You've got it backwards. The axle drives the wheel, not the other way around.
Q: a 950 kg elevator car is lifted by an upward force of 11,200. What is the net force on the elevator car?what is the acceleration of the elevator car?how long before it reaches a speed of 18.0 m/s? what is its height above the ground floor at this time?
depends on how long it has been squeeking. the pads need replaced, if u get this done soon enough the rotors will not need to be replaced however if u wait til the pads are too bad then the rotors get more damage
Q: just asking what they did to make vin diesals chevelle lift up in the air during that first race on fast and furious 4
A HUGE engine with HUGE amount of torque, and VERY VERY sticky tires, and NO engine lag. Which basically means turbo ain't gonna work. It'd have to be a big hulking engine, period. Though in the movie, is IS done with special effects. a lift, basically. Then the lift is removed digitally. --- Kasey C, PC guru since Apple II days Error, no keyboard - press F1 to continue.
Q: Danous Estenor may sound like the name of a character from a Tolkien novel, and he may look like a grizzly bear who could maul anyone who crosses his path. At 6-foot-3, 306 pounds, he probably could, actually. Off the field, though, the South Florida offensive lineman is more of the gentle giant type, more likely to channel his natural power to more productive ends — such as last February, for example, when he hulked out on a 3,500-pound car to save a man trapped underneath. From Friday‘s St. Petersburg Times:
Natural, but an extreme example. First, he did not lift a 3500 lb. car. He lifted a corner of a car which had 60% of its weight in the front end. The lift was a matter of just inches and for a moment. It was done with the assistance of two other men. The actual weight could have amounted to something like 800 lb., which a 300 lb. man could lift momentarily for a few seconds. That's especially true with an adrenaline surge. My mother was barely over five feet tall, but she suffered from schizophrenia. In some of he manic episodes, she demonstrated a strength that was astonishing. She once swatted a half-in. diameter steel bar aside with one hand, bending it as if it were a coat hanger. I had to use a sledgehammer to duplicate the feat. That's not to detract from the heroic rescue, but it certainly didn't require the aid of an invisible magician
Q: I‘ve been learning how to drive a stick shift and everytime I take off in first gear I always make the car jerk fast then it goes slow. What am i doing wrong to make the car have such a shaky start?
You're letting the clutch out too fast. As you let out the clutch, keep giving it more gas until you feel the clutch grab the gear. Don't let go of the clutch as soon as it catches, slowly back it off. It's kind of like letting out with one while pushing in the other at the same rate.
Q: So I have a Honda CIvic LX-S 2010 and the front window that you use when you are driving to look in the front. (sorry I wanted to make my self clear) and the strip on the right side if you are siting in the car is lifting so you can see like connectors.
just glue it back in.go to a auto parts store and ask then what kind they recommend
Q: My car has two hydraulic lifts on it.. one goes down all the way but the other only goes down maybe 95% of the way... So one side of my hood is closed fully while the other side is ajar a little.. Is there a way to release some of the pressure??
Try using a product called 'rubbing compound'. You can find it at any car parts store and it won't damage your cars paint. Someone lost a can of white paint on the highway in front of me and it got all over the back fender of my own car. This stuff got it off reatively easily on mine.
