Q: I'm wanting to redo the interior of my car black but they didn't make any stock with black so I can't just buy a carpet mold. Does anyone know where I could get one made? Or even if there's a way I could make one...: Yes, you can make car carpeting. Just go to any carpet store and buy any carpet you want. You could even carpet your car with shag, if that's what you like (although it will be a lot harder to keep clean than indoor-outdoor carpeting). Use your existing carpet as a template. When you remove the carpet, try to keep it as whole as possible and then just lay it on top of the new carpet for a template. You might have to use books or some other weight to flatten the template, because it's bound to be bumpy after being formed to your car for so long. Then just tape the new carpet in place using carpet tape -- or use glue that's made to adhere to metal. Your car can have any kind of carpet you like. Personally, I would stick with carpets that are easy to keep clean (short-fibered carpets made of nylon), but honestly this is your choice.

Q: (Or perhaps any rugs?): When you say rugs I instantly think of Persia. Or modern day Iran, Iraq, and Turkey. If you do invest in a hand made wall rug, really research where you get it from. Some-most rugs shops employ child labour. And I am sure you would no support that. Good luck.

My recommendation is to mount the carpet to 1/4 plywood and then mount the plywood in sections to the walls with wood screws and dress washers. (a cosmetic washer that is more appealing to the eye.) Brass would be a nice touch. Use wall anchors (plastic will be fine) if installing over drywall. 1/4 plywood is affordable (underlayment will work) and this is quickly removable and by spackling the holes, completely reversable. The carpent can be stapled to the plywood and if not glued, even the plywood can someday be reused, if....you change your mind.

If this is the case you can just snip the paint off with sharp scissors. Just cut the very tips of the fibers. Work slowly. Don't cut a single millimeter more than you have to and pull up while cutting. This will help prevent divots in the carpet. Try your best to do just one or two fibers at a time...not a whole clump. Dissect any paint clumps first by cutting them in half or thirds, so that you separate clumps. This will work unless you have already used nail polish remover or rubbing alcohol. and have worked the paint into the carpet. Also...cutting paint off carpet will work on shag or plush carpet, but not Berber or loopy carpet. Good luck. -
