- Q: Be shampooed like other carpets or does it have to be cleaned another way? My wife thinks it has to be steam cleaned.
- Berber is an attractive and durable choice for carpeting, making it very popular in modern homes. However, because of its high pile, it needs to be cleaned fairly frequently to keep it looking its best. Cleaning your Berber carpet at least every 3 months is the best way to keep it in great shape.

- I prefer Nature's Miracle.This is an enzyme cleaner designed for pet stains and can be found at most pet stores. This is a great cleaner I use to clean my golf clothes as well.

- Done that. It works fine. Check with someone who does oriental rugs.
- Q: My 2 year old female has taken up the habit of scratching and soiling rugs in our bathroom. We wash or replace the rug, but she keeps doing it! We also clean out the litterbox everyday, and wash it once a week. She also has multiple scratching posts, toys, etc. She eats only hard food and has clean water on a daily basis. We also have 1 other male cat who is 3. Please help! NO STUPID ANSWERS!
- The rugs may have 'litterbox smell on them now. Try using an enzymatic cleaner on them. You can find the cleaner at the pet store. The other option is to not put down the rugs for a bit until kitty gets used to the box again and forgets about the rugs....
- Q: Personally, I think they are kind of dumb. They get all messed up, are hard to wash and attract dog hair like no other. Do you think it makes a house look cheesy with no rugs in the bathrooms, entryways etc?
- If anything, put a rug in the bathroom. This way it kind of helps with the water when getting out of the shower. Personally, I think they add a lot of detail and decoration.

- Q: Kids took natural fiber rug outside while cleaning hardwood floors. Boom - Super thunderstorm. Next day rug is soaked, its not looking good at all. is there anything I can do to recover it? After a day or two in the sun trying to dry it out one spot near edge is beginning to grow mold. Can I save it?
- Absorbent Pads, lots of air flow, and a little Lysol spray on moldy areas, great homemade mold killer,2 teaspoons tea tree oil 2 cups water. Combine in a spray bottle, shake to blend, and spray on problem areas.Do not rinse.
- Q: I'm looking for a giant rug for my dorm room next semester but I don't even know what kind of rug to look for. I want something incredibly soft but I don't have the money for something like these alpaca fur rugs I keep seeing. Does anyone know what types of rugs there are out there? The softer, the better! - If you have a local carpet store maybe you could see if they have old sample carpet pieces that you could take for either free or really cheap and make them into a rug yourself. Backing shouldn't be too expensive, and you could actually apply it with caulk to make it more permanent.

- There is no need to bother, open the car door and dry in the sun, take the foot pad out and dry, but the car must be dry,
