- Dyson. I bought this vacuum in 2006 and it still runs like new. Hoovers don't work well, they will loose suctions after a few passes.

- Q: Does Dyson really make the best vacuum cleaners?
- Ours has been good so far. Our Oreck didn't last a year. With a Dyson, though, you do have to empty it out. It works pretty well. Other cleaners develop a lot more suction and power, but they pretty quickly (within minutes) lose it down to the Dyson's level as the filters clog.

- That is a tough one. I do not know of a vacuum that has a lock built into it. The Miele canister vacuum cleaners have a handle. You can put a bicycle style lock through the handle. You could also do that with a Dyson. The Miele's last really well.
