Bagless Vacuum Cleaners introduction

Bagless vacuum cleaner feature a removable dust storage container, which can be emptied into your refuse bin when full. This is a simple method of maintaining your vacuum cleaner and making sure it doesn't lose suction. The advantage of this bagless system over a bagged vacuum cleaner is that it is more environmentally friendly, and avoids the need to purchase dust bags, thus saving you money.

FAQ

Is it best to go for a more powerful vacuum cleaner?

The power of a vacuum cleaner’s motor is measured in Watts. The higher the Wattage the better it will clean, as long as the machine is well designed with good air flow and suction power too. However, the higher the wattage, the noisier the machine will be. With upright vacuum cleaners. you don’t need to have so much wattage or suction power as you do with a cylinder cleaner as the dirt has less distance to travel before it reaches the bag or dust container. The type of brushes are more of an important consideration with uprights than the power. You don’t always want to have a vacuum cleaner operating at full power for example, when cleaning upholstery or curtains, so it’s useful to be able to adjust the power level yourself.

Which attachments should I look out for?

Most vacuum cleaners come with three attachments, a crevice tool, upholstery and dusting brushes and a small head which is best for vacuuming stairs. You can also get additional turbo brushes which have their own motor for extra suction which are useful for cleaning deep-pile carpets or a power cleaning head which has electrically powered rotating brushes. A hard-floor or parquet brush is useful for wooden or tiled floors. Some cleaners have extendable tubes which are useful for hard to reach areas like cobwebs in the corners of ceilings.

I have a large house? What should I look out for?

Look for a cleaner with a large cleaning head – this will help cut down the amount of time it takes to vacuum a room. Also get as long a lead as you can get to cut down on the number of times you have to unplug the lead and plug it in again. You may also want to consider getting a model with a large capacity dust collector or bag so that you don’t have to empty it as frequently. If you have a lot of stairs, you may want to get a cylinder model with a long stretchy stair-cleaning hose.

Q:Can anyone recommend a good, lightweight vacuum cleaner with good suction power and fairly priced?
I okorder.com. If I recall, the vacuum arrived within 3-5 days. The bags are fairly reasonably priced, you can get them on OKorder for less than $1/bag. Good luck!
Q:When did the following become common in homes?
I know Maytag was very popular in the 1920s for washing machines. There was still a lot of hand washing with ringers around, but Maytags were becoming more affordable. I'm completely serious here when I say they were run by a gasoline engine. It was mounted under the machine and started with a kick lever. It had to be vented to the outside with flexible exhaust hose. Vacuums have been around since about 1890, but weren't very effective until electricity made them more efficient. Dishwashers became popular in the 1960s, but were so loud you should leave the house for a while, LOL. Hair dryers really took off in a very short time starting in 1972.
Q:Best quiet bagless upright vacuum $60 or less?
Wow, okorder.com/
Q:How do professional cleaners vacuum ceilings / clean them?
you can always give it a try
Q:Is there such a thing as a quiet vacuum cleaner?
Hi Tessa, I haven't come across one yet. Some are quieter than others though. Have the sales person plug it in before you buy a new one. Check several before you make your decision. I make the salesperson dismantle the brush roller, put on a new belt ,if it has one, you name it. I'm very sensitive to fighting a vacuum just to change a belt, or to clean the brushes! I guess I'm just plain old mean. Bye
Q:help with vacuum cleaners...?
I love my Hoover Windtunnel. I paid about 125 for it at Wal-mart. It has the rotating hand brush also. Mine is a 12amp also. I noticed that most are 12 amps. Hope this helps. If not you can go to Sears and they will dump stuff on the TEST CARPET and let you try them all out and then see where you can get the best deal.
Q:Do you think the spiders and moths are dead?
they're probably still alive, and now bear a grudge. I'd sleep with one eye open..... kidding. Personally, I wouldn't suck up spiders, they'r fantastic at pest control and usually harmless to you.
Q:Vacuum cleaners - a brand similar to Dyson?
Love my Dyson!!!
Q:is it typical for a 5 year old to be very knowledgeable on vacuum cleaners, sear, kenmore etc?
It can be very normal depending on the child and the situation if that is what they hear about that is what they'll know. Also the child may just like something and want to learn about it. Who knows your child might grow up to be very proficient in that kind of stuff.
Q:How do I repair the motor of the vacuum cleaner?
If there is no access, you need to change the brush, you can also take the vacuum cleaner to the electrical repair shop for replacement. If you can not maintain the motor, you may want to consider replacing a new vertical vacuum cleaner,
