Q: I can't use brush roll vacuums due to long hair on the carpet which has destroyed other vacuums with brush-rolls. I know Miele Art is one -does anyone know any others? TY.: Every canister vacuum I know of has a way to put a plain floor brush on the end of the wand instead of a beater brush. Shop-vacs also just have plain brushes.

Q: Ok so our Dyson hoover has finally given up. We want a new hoover that isn't as heavy as a Dyson. We tried the smaller Dyson's today but they aren't powerful enough because we have 2 pets you see. Q: Any advice, anyone?: Well I dont know if it is inexpensive but it is very important the vacuum has a power head to separate the carpet fibres to lift the pet hair, I have a SEBO and with several cats it does the job perfectly. I found cheap vacs with no power head are useless.
