Is it best to go for a more powerful vacuum cleaner?

The power of a vacuum cleaner’s motor is measured in Watts. The higher the Wattage the better it will clean, as long as the machine is well designed with good air flow and suction power too. However, the higher the wattage, the noisier the machine will be. With upright vacuum cleaners. you don’t need to have so much wattage or suction power as you do with a cylinder cleaner as the dirt has less distance to travel before it reaches the bag or dust container. The type of brushes are more of an important consideration with uprights than the power. You don’t always want to have a vacuum cleaner operating at full power for example, when cleaning upholstery or curtains, so it’s useful to be able to adjust the power level yourself.

Which attachments should I look out for?

Most vacuum cleaners come with three attachments, a crevice tool, upholstery and dusting brushes and a small head which is best for vacuuming stairs. You can also get additional turbo brushes which have their own motor for extra suction which are useful for cleaning deep-pile carpets or a power cleaning head which has electrically powered rotating brushes. Look for a cleaner with a large cleaning head – this will help cut down the amount of time it takes to vacuum a room. Q:i am wanting a cleaner that does it all. i remember a rainbow that i used of someone that was a vac that extracted water while vacuuming that i would like to have. however, i don't know what kind that it was?? does all rainbow vacs do that?? i was thinking about purchasing the h2o vac, then read alot of bad things about them. do you have one, what is your experience? it does'nt have to be a rainbow, but i want something that i can vac and run water at the same time. would like for it to cost less than a rainbow. does the green machine do that?also, if you have a hoover z-fold, how good/bad is it?: I myself would prefer my rainbow over any other carpet machine. I also got the step attachment and the carpet cleaner with mine for doing 4 demo.'s. they were free. you can set up a contract with finance america and pay only $50.00 a month or so. maybe $75.00 and pay for it that way. it really is worth it to me. and it doesnt use suck up water it runs water like a dirt bag, it makes the dirt go to the bottom of the bowl. dirt is heavier then water, and the part inside acts like a churn, it forces the dirt to the bottom. you can also use smelly oils in the water to make your home smell good as you vacuume. I will never buy any other type of model of vacuumes after having this rainbow.

Q:I have a 2 vacuum cleaners, and I HATE them both!
