6.Conditions of use
Pumps used in the following conditions should be continuously to work properly:
1. For water pumps suitable medium, medium temperature shall not exceed + 40°C
2. The medium PH value between 6.5 ~ 8.5
3. The volume of medium containing solid impurity is less than 0.1%, the size is not more than 0.2 mm
4. The power frequency 50 hz, voltage for single-phase 220 v, 380 v, three-phase voltage fluctuation range for rating of 0.9 to 1.1 times
5. Diving depth of no more than 5 m, is not suitable for irrigation and drainage of sewage and chemicals.

- Sometimes there are holes in the pulley and you can rotate it until the hole gives you access to the bolt. If there are no such holes, then you will probably have to remove the pulley. The pulley may be fastened with one, four, or zero bolts. If there are bolts for the pulley, remove them and proceed with common sense and use a puller if necessary. If there are zero bolts holding the pulley to the water pump, then it is pressed on and you will need to remove it with a specialty tool called a pulley puller which you can get as a loaner or cheap rental at many auto parts stores. The pulley must also be reinstalled with a pulley installer, also available as a loaner or cheap rental. Are you replacing the water pump or just removing it to do other work? If you look at a new one and it doesn't come with a pulley on it, then you know that the pulley must be removed to go on the new pump no matter what.
- Q: I got my oil changed yesterday and took like a 3 hour drive and back home and had no issues.. today I was at my work visiting and I noticed smoke coming from the engine [sort of more of steam] and a lot of smoke coming from the exhaust. Or if the oil change could of effected that.. My engine coolant wasn't that low but a greenish liquid was really leaking from underneath the car.
- sorry but you need to let a pro do this, you could of easily blown your head gaskets(MAJOR MONEY), running it hot, good luck, oil changes has nothing to do with the coolant problem, even if they topped off the antifreeze they would charge you and tell you, and if they left the cap off the coolant resivoir, it wouldnt steam and smoke out of the exhaust, good luck

- Those pumps are usually self priming.. either you have a PLUGGED LINE or the water pump froze in the cold and it needs to be replaced... but they are cheap.

- Q: I installed a circulating pump in the far bathroom, since the length to the water heater made for a long wait. It takes 25 seconds for the hot water to arrive, which means 25 seconds of hot water wasted, once the water is shut off.Is it cheaper to, selectively(2 settings on timer) run the pump, or just wait on the hot water? And without the consideration, that time equals money. I imagine the more people that use it, the more efficient it gets.
- In commercial applications it means hot water is there waiting on you rather than the other way around. It saves on lost time and water. In home use I would install a timer so pump runs only when it is needed.Insulation on the pipes will also lower the load on the hot water heater. So you can save time and money.

- It's about like changing a timing belt. You might as well change the timing belt while you are in there. The water pump is driven by the belt. Get a manual like a Chilton and read it over and over again till you almost have it memorized if you are serious about this. You can usually look at a manual at a library free of charge. You can also copy the part you want on a copy machine. There are also online manuals. You might not want to do it after you read the procedure. If you haven't done it before it will probably take you all day. Be sure to have some band aides for your knuckles. As far as tools go, the VW engineers love allen head bolts. Don't try to use a allen wrench though,get some allen sockets that you put on your rachet.
