3) What is the difference of Wilton Carpet and Axminster carpet

Wilton carpet, like Axminster carpet, is woven. However the difference between the two methods is the way in which the carpet is woven. Whereas the Axminster yarn is woven into each weft and then cut to the required pile height and then reinserted when that colour is needed again –the Wilton carpet yarn is a continuous strand woven all the way through.

Q:The toilet overflowed the whole bathroom, and it left a huge puddle in the hallway. The carpet is completely soaked. It's clean water though, it's been doing this for days now, but we've been catching it before it reached the carpet. We have a shampooer that is currently sucking up the water, but I need more than that. Also, taking up the carpet from the ground is not an option. One more thing- any good ways to clean it once it gets dry?

Q:Some wax fell on the carpet(quite dense) and i tried the old trick ironing down a piece of paper on top of it to lift the wax off. It has worked for me before. But now, part of the paper has stuck to the carpet. I tried ripping it off real quick but now there's just a huge patch of paper stuck right into the carpet. How can i get it off/out ? Help ?
In the laundry section at the store, they sell this stuff to remove wax from carpet, clothes, etc... it works. approx $5
Q:My neice spilled pink nail polish on a beige carpet, what can i do to take it out?
I read where someone said creamy peanut butter will take the stains out of a carpet, if that doesn't work try Magic Eraser by the same company that makes Mr. Clean. Magic Eraser took ink stains, nail polish, and other stubborn stains, off of toys that I use to recycle for the mission.
Q:I'm looking to clean the carpet in my apartment m, and I am debating on whether I should rent a carpet shampooer or buy one. Let me know if you have any suggestions on a good one please. Also looking to buy a new vacuum does anyone have have a cheap good one they recommend
....VAX...Thats a good carpet cleaner.
Q:I have a heavy recliner sofa and chairs. These are on heavy metal frames which leave a a square indent in the carpet as well as the 4 corner feet. Does anyone know of any carpet protectors made especially for these type of sofas. UK
Hi, I am a carpet fitter and have been for 7 years. One of the biggest parts of my job is moving furniture for the eldery customers so I can fit the carpet. You do see coaster type things under chairs and sofa's etc. This seems to make very little if any difference at all. The only advice I can give you is to avoid underlay and go for a thin pile carpet as that does help with preventing an indentation. If the sofa or chairs way a lot you will get a slight indentation anyway. Although avoiding underlay will not feel nearly as nice to walk on. You may be able to buy specialist one's but if you put enough pressure on a particular area/area's of a carpet you will get an indentation. Please message me for further help and I will be more than willing to do so. Joe Kingsland Floors
Q:What covers the carpet?
Toward the PVC, and the kind of things above the pavement. The price is about 120 yuan a flat. May consider
Q:I recently lost a large wall rug in my house due to a fire. The only information I have for it is the following: My grandmother purchased it from a traveling salesman in Canada sometime between 1967-1971. The dimensions of the rug are approx. 6ft long by 3-4 ft tall. It has a picture of polar bears on icebergs. The edging was red yarn-like fringes.I think that this rug is worth something but I can't find anything like it. I need to put a value on it for insurance purposes so I want to find out its true value and need documentation to prove that that rug, or one close to it, is worth a certain amount of money. My other grandmother had a similarly sized rug, possibly sold by the same guy, but it had a bullfighter and bull on it. Any help on this matter is greatly appreciated.
I'm not incredibly familiar with rugs, but I can try to give some help. After searching around a little bit, it seems that most of the rugs fitting this description are between $200-400, but rugs also run much higher in price. If it is a hand-made rug of that size made by a fine rug-maker, you could be talking $1000 dollars or more. I can't say too much more, since I'm in no way qualified to appraise a rug, since I don't know enough about them, but I included some links in the sources that might help you price your rug. Hope this helps. Good luck!
Q:I have a mini and was wondering if during winter he'd be warm enough with these two rugs:a 270g polyester ripstop combo sheet rugand then a cotton combo rug underneath the sheetAny help would be appreciated,Thanks
Horses don't need blankets/rugs. Unless they have just moved to a colder climate, or have health problems, or are severely underweight, or you are extremely stingy with hay/forage, your horse does not need blankets. Especially minis, who have so little surface:mass ratio and SO much hair. Please don't create unnecessary problems by putting any sort of rugs or sheets on your mini. They create more problems than they help. Add: I assume you mean mid-teens Celsius? I have kept horses in places with temps much colder than that, with their fuzzy coats and all the hay they want to eat, and they stayed healthy. Try below zero Fahrenheit. If they have their natural coat and are acclimated to the weather, blankets are not only unnecessary but can make a horse sick. The horse has evolved for millennia to adapt to its environment. It can fluff up its coat or lay it flat according to the hourly changes in weather. When you put a blanket on, you interfere with that ingenious design. The horse can overheat and get chilled very quickly. Let your horse regulate its own body temp. If you see him shivering, THEN see about adding layers. Horses are most comfortable around 40* F. This is the temperature at which scientists have measured, it takes the least effort for the horse to regulate its body temp. To start blanketing at that temp is blatant interference with the horse's bodily functions. (Yes, I know lots of people who do that here in the USA too. I used to work at a stable that used that as their standard to blanket for turnout - if they'd even let the poor things go out.) Sorry if these facts don't agree with some of your opinions. My shoulders are broad and my skin is thick; a few TDs from uneducated folks don't hurt a bit.
Q:I'm looking for a dark green Oriental rug. The green should be a forest or emerald green to replace the previous rugs. Every time I look for these greens, I find various shades of sage, teal, seafoam, and olive. This is not what I'm looking for. It needs to be large (at least 8x10 feet), and be classy/fancy and durable enough to cover the wooden floor in the dining room. A floral or Asian print would be preferred. If anyone knows of such a rug, or where to buy one, please let me know. (Please don't just link me to or mention OKorder or Macy's or something. I've already looked there.) Thanks! =)
Hey, I recently use Oakham Oriental Rugs, they have a stunning wide range of Oriental rugs available. Great prices too!! You should check them out too. They hand pick each of their rugs, as they only sell the highest quality. Highly recommend.
Q:Can a carpet store take carpet out of some one home and sell it to some one els and put it in there home? No this is not a joke!
In the US--Usually, the carpet they remove when they replace it with the new carpet is discarded. If the owner of the home didn't care to keep it, the carpet store could take it with them. They could resell it and install it somewhere else if they found a buyer. But if they are selling it as new, and it is not, they could be sued for fraud. Some states may have specific health and safety laws prohibiting them from reselling the carpet, but I don't know of any.
