Q:have issue with couple of thing on a ford galaxy 1999 2.3 ghia w/airconis there a relay box in it as checked all fuses for the issuse i have and i lost even with the propper manual, rear passenger door wont open or window wont work, air con not workin and the blower that you can switch on to let air at ya face for cold or hot not working. now i havew done loads to the car and so far ive done well but this is bugging - can anyone help. what things have i missed.
Jay the controls for the windows and door are likely a problem in the drivers side control switches as this works as the main switch for all doors. I have seem this often when someone installed door speakers and unhooked the wires from the way they were tied down. the window came down and pulled them damaging the the wires. The A/C system and heater are hard to call over the computer but I can tell you the fan portion is not connected directly to either. it is a rheostat. a dimmer of sorts. The actual fan motor is built with a power and ground connection and is like all other electric 2 wire motors, a positive and a negative. If the motor isn't frozen inside the motor will spin even if the two wires are switched around as this is only changing it's polarity. what will happen though is your fan will draw air out of the cabin instead of pushing air in. It uses a connection screwed into the air box to control the various speeds. the power enters this device and then used power reducing components internally to slow the motor down or speed it up. your switch on the dash for fan speed feeds this controller. If you are saying you are getting no air to your face but the fan is blowing, I think you will find its blowing on the dash board. maybe the feet as well. This is a factory installed default for a problem in the heater or A/C directing system. It was determined that the most critical thing a driver needs when driving is a clear windshield in the cold of winter. You must be able to see ahead and can bundle up with clothes to keep warm. If the system looses the vacuum needed to run the directional doors to send air to your face etc springs will close the doors and direct the air to the windshield over every other place.
Q:I just purchased an corsair 750W power supply, and the input is mentioned as 90-264V 10A, Now on the plug that connects to wall socket to power it says 13A 250V (UK Pin) Now i am using it in asia, using an simple adapter but inorder to plug other things like speakers and screen i am buying an surge protector (spike guard). Now at what Amp shall i buy spike guard ? Rated 15A or 10A - As this is what available in my country. PS: The fuse power on the inbuilt fuse on the power plug is 13A. Also inform if i buy a 15A Spike guard and the usage say is only 10A is their a con like, smoking the pc components incase of sum overcurrent?
It is always ok if you have more Amps then needed. If you go under of what the devices needs then it will simply burn.
Q:I have a 1994 GMC Jimmy that keeps blowing the instrament panel and gauges fuse. After the vehicle has warmed up for about a half hour the fuse blows then the transmission won't shift all the gauges go out speedometer and odometer included. When i put a new fuse in it blows instantly. I know that their must be a short somewhere but can u tell me where the most common place might be for that to happen. I have already disconnected the rear defogger.
hmmmmmmmm.does it have a digital cluster? dumb q ,but correct fuse size is being put back in? i would need the owners manual or a repair manual to find ALL components that run off that fuse.i have replaced some clusters, but not for blowing fuses.will get back to you.my email is open
Q:I have a 9-5 SE 2000 that I just bought a little over a month ago and last Friday around 8pm my car alarm triggered for no reason. When I went outside to shut the alarm off with my remote key chain nothing happened, it kept going, rather loud I might add. It didn't matter how many times I locked or unlocked the car the siren kept wailing. When I put the key in the ignition she started but the alarm would stop. Again, I tried multiple times to shut it off with the electronic remote key chain to no avail. Finally after about five minutes later it randomly shut off. Since then I located the fuse for the alarm under the hood and removed it. I think this has solved the problem of alarm going off but it's also shut down the anti-theft system completely. I'm wondering if removing this fuse does any harm to the other electrical components and whether it shuts off the engine immobiliser in addition to the alarm? Now each time I start the car the SID display sends the CHECK THEFT SYSTEM. Advice?
you may not beleive this, but, your alarm systen, is radio controled. The little goody on your key ring is a tiny transmitter. It is on the same band as microwave ovens and cell phones. Some one in your neighborhood, may have been useing their cell fone, and it tripped your alarm. Don't worry about taking the fuse out. It will not hurt any thing. You may want to install a toggle switch under the dash, that will disable the alarm, in case it does it againreplace the flat battery in your key ring controler too.
Q:Battery is Good, Alternator is good, both have been tested. My car starts up with no problem. when im driving in a neighborhood without having to apply alot of pressure on the gas everything is fine. But the moment i enter a freeway/highway where i have to press the gas a little harder my alternator fuse (30a) blows instantly as soons i begin to speed up the battery light comes on. I put another fuse in and same thing, everything is fine when im not pressing the gas hard but the moment i have to apply pressure my alternator fuse blows and the Battery comes on. So replcaed the fuse once again. This time i put some tape around my O2 Sensor wires. And wala! It worked, no fuse blowing when i speed up but then after like 15 min of driving it started back :/. What could be a possible fix?? thanks!!
Alternator Fuse Keeps Blowing
Q:I have a 2000 Ranger I turned it off and it would not start again I have power to head and dome lights, replaced the 50 blade fuse position number 5 in the power management box and it worked for 1 to 2 sec then burnt out again. is it the starter relay, the ignition switch, the starter or something else. anyone have this problem? how did you fix it? any help would be greatly appreciated
a three or a 5 amp fuse would be positive, as long as your heater works once you slot the plug there is not any would desire to purchase a clean one. If the heater is going defective it particularly is going to easily blow the fuse, yet there is not any reason it is going to.
Q:Every time I buy a little figurine or annual ornament, I am amazed at how crystal clear the glue is that holds the crystal together.Anyone know what kind of glue that is or what kind you think it might be?
As a bead artist, I don't know what they use in manufacturing their pieces, but I do know they advise the use of epoxy if you're planning on creating pieces using their components! A two-part epoxy, as they suggest, will give you an incredible bond that can withstand most anything, and it does dry clear! I hope this helps!
Q:I'd like to be able to generate significant voltages of DC for experimentation purposes, but so far am having difficulty in creating/sustaining such high voltages. My hope is that the answer may lie in building a voltage multiplier, but I know very little about such technology. It seems I could potentially build one if I knew what components to get and how to configure them. Any help would be appreciated.

Q:I have 2 12inch subs in a ported box in my trunk facing back would the bass be any better if i turned them facing front or does it matter ? The bass in the car is massive but out side not to much except you can hear the trunk rattle i want more bass to the front not the back. i want to rattle the car in front of me not the behind me .On a different matter what makes the subs hum when the amp is on and the car is running the amp kit is new the amp is a dual 600 watt 4 channel amp and it is bridged 8 gauge power and 8 gauge ground in line fuse twisted component wires(RCA Cables) and nothing touching or any open wires
For more bass get a more powerful amp and use a smaller gauge wire like 4 or 0 gauge and a mono block amp is good for bass. But if you turn them facing inside the car and let the rear seat down you will achieve your goal.

You have to remember that you're going to be plugging the other stuff into the surge protector too. I'd go with the 15A.
