Q: Vacuum cleaner or carpet???
The Carpet came long before the vacuum cleaner!!!
Q: Yeah, yeah, yeah. I know I can buy a new, high tech(and plastic, foreign made piece of crap)vacuum. However, my Dad worked for Hoover for 40 years and built THIS one over 15 years ago. I've been able to maintain and repair it fine so far, but it's been having trouble with suction. I think the composite material of the fan blades is worn down.
Hey okorder /... Is there any design flaws or anything I should know about this machine? Is it crap? Should I pass on it?
Q: My Bissell finally died. I used to love Bissell but that was the worst vacuum I had ever bought. I am looking at canister vacuums now. I see the Kenmore has a high rating as well as the Electrolux and the Miele. I want something that will last and has low noise and cleans carpets wonderfully. Any knowledgeable vacuumers out there?
I am not up to date with the new canister models, but have always liked the quality and quietness of the Electrolux models. If you get something like a Hoover upright, you can also buy one of those extra long extra flexible extension hoses and have the advantages of both a canister and an upright in one.
Q: ?? Poll: When you were wee little, were you afraid of vacuum cleaners?
if anything they feared me left bobby pins on the floor ALL the time
Q: What are the OSHA regulations on repairing electrical cords on appliances like Vacuum cleaners?
If OSHA applies to this area, it would likely require that the electrical cord used a third wire ground plug if the vacuum cleaner chassis is conductive, ie., metallic. If fixing the plug end of the electrical cord, be sure to use an 'underwriter's knot' to secure the cord inside the plug's body, however, many plugs don't allow the serviceman to take it apart, anyway. If you're repairing a frayed or severed cord, braid the wires together, wrap *both* wires in electrical tape, and do a final wrap making sure the tape is well attached to the cord.
Q: How many of you have a vacuum cleaner that was made dirt cheap?
Mine was free, I found it in a garbage bin. It's a type of Hoover that looks like a flying saucer, fixed the plug which was broken and volia new free vacuum cleaner. Its taped all over but works really well. Acey Deecey
Q: are canister vacuum cleaners good brands?so where are they for sale online
Some canisters vacs are good, but you will pay for a good one. On a canister, the motor is away from the dirt, you have to rely on suction, which will eventually fade as time goes by. As for an upright, the motor is on the head or closer to the dirt. When you have a motor on the head, you have a better suction, for a longer time, plus the motor will help vibrate the dirt in the carpet. idk where to find them on-line, I always go to sears, or buy a Kirby from a salesman. If you want the best canister, buy a Filter Queen or a Rainbow. If you want the best upright buy a Kirby or a Dysonex (check spelling)
Q: a two pack of the Roomba Vacuum cleaners. How much did they cost?
Looks okorder /... Note they were refurbished, not brand new.
Q: how long have they been in use
not sure but it has been several years I don't know anyone personally that has one I would like to try one but way too expensive for me!
Q: ...what would you do?
whoa baby lady to vacuum your house for free with a smile to match yours, lol
