Q:i've had several different vacuum cleaners and the belt keeps breaking, I have no pets, but I have long hair but still, should the belt be so fragile?
I buy 4 belts at a time from my vacuum store so I have them on hand and change them out myself without any trouble at all. I get out the screwdriver, take the plate off the bottom and change it. No biggie. Some models just eat more belts than others. I have long hair, too but I don't think that matters. It takes the belt to drive the beater bar, so everytime you use the vacuum cleaner you are essentially wearing out the belt. Learn to change them.
Q:I am currently doing house cleaning and using my clients vaccums, but I am wondering if I should get my own, because they mostly have area rugs and their vacuum cleaners are just too strong, it's almost like the vacuum's are trying to eat the rugs! So I was looking at the Eureka, The Boss, and was thinking about getting that, because I just don't want to be liable for a ruined vacuum, or rug! What do you think?Would you rather have someone use your own vacuum which may be too strong, or their own which may be just right?
I may be in the minority here, but I would prefer that a house keeper, cleaning person use my own sweeper rather than one that has been used in someone else's home. It's one heck of a good way to transmit some not very nice things from one home to another. Things like fleas, bed bugs, dust mites to name a few. We have several throw rugs that the vacuum tries to eat and we just clean those with the hand attachment. Yeah, it requires a little bending over and such but oh well. They are laundered on a regular basis so it's more for pet hair removal than anything else here.
Q:My mom has Parkinson's disease and its hard for her to vacuum. We need a very light but good working vacuum. We need a vacuum cleaner that is very light but still works good. Any suggestions. Any help would be much appreciated.
There are a lot of 'lightweight' vacuum cleaners available by good brands such as Dyson and Morphy Richards. I would recommend the Dyson but it may still be a little heavy. Your best shot is to take you mum to an electrical store and test a comfortable one. It might be better to get a cylinder instead of an upright so your pushing less weight around.
Q:i cant decide from two vacum cleaners i need one that is not heavy. also easy enough to push it.The two of them are:Shark navigator 22and Dyson i think 33 please help me decide on a good vacuumthanks
I have the Dyson DC25 ball and I love it, highly recommend! It's pretty light and works like a charm!
Q:Why are Dogs afraid of Vacuum cleaners? ?
Not all dogs are afraid of vacuum cleaners. One of my dogs runs away and I have to move the other two out of the way when I vacuum, they just sit there. Either that or I have to vacuum around them.
Q:vacuum, air cleaners. Duribilaty, usuages, warrentys, etc.
without going into a long answer,I will tell you you would be better off getting a Hepa vacuum with washable filters, and a dirt chamber that is removable than spending big money on a vacuum that is over rated and very expensive.
Q:What are some great vacuum cleaners? Price is a factor. Which ones have worked well and lasted longer for you?
While your are trying to decide on one you might read Consumer Reports Magazine They had an article on choosing a vacuum cleaner within the last year. You can find old issues in most libraries or you can go on line and subscribe to it (for a price).
Q:A guy who had a heart attack said they gave him a pamphlet at the hospital that said to avoid cars and vacuum cleaners because they vibrate. He also said the latest research on fish oil shows it doesn't do anything for your health.
That's ridiculous.
Q:I AM GETTING FED-UP! (how often do we hear ourselves yelling this mantra when that Life-long warrantee on the oven means quot;the life of the Productquot;?)I am feverishly shopping to replace the DYSON(r) vacuum cleaner that I bought and used only a few times. - Is this common for Dyson (stand-up) vacuum cleaners to clog-up the air chamber commonly with the dust, debris and whever-else I clean from my carpet?Does the Dyson vacuum technology surpass its predecesor (bags)? - If so, how / which debris SHOULD I clean with this unit so it will work without my having to totally-disassemble the entire unit to wash it out so it will work?
i sympathise with you... i have also had more and more issues with appliance lifespans... i have not had a dyson vacuum cleaner, but have used another bagless model at my mom's... the dust-filled air is pulled through the filter, and the filter gets clogged almost immediately... i took the filter outside and used a brush to clean the pleats, but the filter was permeated with dust... instead of catching the dust in a cheap bag which can be thrown out, one has to replace an expensive filter... i shall always choose a bagged vacuum that also includes a hepa filter... consumer reports 2017 buying guide listed reliability of upright vacuum brands in this order: kirby, shark, dirt devil, kenmore, bissell, hoover, eureka, riccar, oreck, simplicity, dyson, miele, and electrolux... reliability is based on reported consumer experience... however, among bagless uprights the top test results went to shark, dyson, and hoover... among bagged uprights the top test results went to kenmore, miele, and hoover... it seems the vacuum that works the proper is not always the longest lasting... below is another buying guide... good luck...
Q:i need a good vacuum that won't break. my family and i had one that lasted for about 5-6 years then we kept buying vacuums for under $100 after that one broke then those broke within a month or two .. i need one that will last and won't be a waste of my money. one that is under $200 ... please help me...?? :-(
Depending where you live you can check discount stores that may have some good ones for less money. that's how I found mine- for $50. a couple of years ago. It's a Hoover and has a removeable cannister so you don't have to deal with messy paper filter bags. I can't recommend one brand over the other since I don't have that much experience. Just be sure you do the necessary maintenance once you buy one so that it doesn't become clogged with dirt and other debree. None of them will last forever but if you get 5-6 years that's not bad
