- Q: What is the point of this, if you are more than likely not going to be vacuuming at night? I've heard people say that it is to quot;know if a specific area is cleanbut I mean seriously... I don't think you really need lights do you?? Just vacuum during the day perhaps? Works for me and I don't have a dirty house.
- It makes it much easier to see in dark corners and darker areas, such as under beds and in closets. I have found quite a few things because the light from the headlight reflected off something that the room light didn't show up. Also, it makes pet hair show up easier, so you know when it's clean. I do vacuum during the day, but there's two dogs in my house, and some areas have more dirt/hair/lint/etc. than others.

- I used to sell Kirby Vacuum cleaners when I was young. They are very expensive however in all of my demonstrations I could never beat the cheap old Shop Vac. While the Shop Vac does not come with fancy attachments it is the most sensible design. The vacuums with the paper bags designs are sheer stupidity. They blow bacteria all through the air. Absolute nonsense. The little water tanks sound like a good idea but I find the machines awkward and clumsy and frustrating. Give me that sensible Shop Vac any day and get your fancy gadgets out of my face.

- I bought this thing because of their exceptional advertising. I hated this ridiculously expensive vacuum so much that after 3 months, I went out and bought a Kenmore for less than $100. This vacuum works 100% better and the chord has a button and retracts into the machine. I love it and am getting rid of the Dyson. *** I wouldn't buy it.

- You need the AMPS to determine the suction power the more AMPS they have the better suction power you'll get- but here is a very, very good vacuum to look into- It is a Bissel Powerforce Bagless Vacuum-my son bought his at Wal-mart and I use his all the time! It has 4 re-usable filters that you can rinse out and an attachment brush that has rotaion on it that I use on my bed and once after I had washed my bed spread it had those little lint pills all over it that I tried to shave off- well I tried this attachment and it took them off like it was nothing! I think he only paid like maybe $100 or less for his and it is now MY favorite vacuum!

Think about it or better yet get a flashlight, turn the lights off and turn on the vacuum cleaner then shine your flashlight at the vacuum cleaner while it's running and you can see the dust particles flying out of it... and where will it go? on your freshly dusted furniture. - Unless it is uses a cogged belt, it is dependent on tension to keep it tight. If the roller encounters any resistance it slows down. The belt is then rolling on a fast motor on one end and a slower, binding roller on the other. The resulting friction causes the rubber compound to overheat, burn, then snap. Keep the brush roller clean, do not vacuum anything more solid than a big toe nail clipping, no metal, no plastic that could bind the roller brush.
