Q: My windshield wipers have been acting strange ever since i got the truck. when ever i turn them on they are very slow. however if it has been raining heavily for a while they are faster than normal. and sometimes (even if it HAS been raining) they will completely stop in the middle of a cycle, right in the middle of the windshield. if that happens, usually a little pushing or pulling on them will get them going again. I have already replaced the motor and they still did it even the moment after i put the new motor in. what can cause this and how do i fix it so i dont have to pull over anymore to get my windshield wipers going again?: This is a serious problem, especially in the rain and could be fatal. I would suggest taking the truck to Chevy.

Q: Why will my windshield wipers not go all the way down? We just had a big snowstorm, and I am afraid that I stressed the motor and now my windshield wipers will not go all the way down. They work fine, but when I turn them off after using them, they‘re about 3 inches up on the windshield. It‘s get annoying because it blocks some of my view. My car is 2000. Wiper blades are supposed to be replace at least once a year and maybe 2 times a year. Do yourself a favor and buy the factory refills from the dealer or buy Rain-X wiper blades. I have purchased just about every blade there is from the cheapo store brand to the triple edge. For my money nothing has worked better or lasted longer than the Rain-X blades. They worked so well I started selling them in our parts department. Every once in a while I'll get a customer that has a blade that is jumping or streaking, and it usually turns out to be a bent wiper arm or worn out spring on the wiper arm.

The third speed seems just as slow moving like the 2nd speed for the windshield wipers. How do I go about getting a new windshield wiper motor???: after your fiberglass with epoxy has cured,you want to coat it inside and out with a barrier coat paint.Interlux makes a great barrier coat i think the number is a 2000 e.Then gel coat,emron,awl grip, or some type of finish paint will do great. The barrier coat will ensure the integrity of your craft for many years to come.

The wire could be lose but there are two motors in most slightly older cars, not one. The motor is located directly under the windshield wiper and there are two of them, so one could have gone kabloey (hi-tech term) For verification, check with your dealer or local auto parts store on the phone. You could also look under the hood and see if there are two motors if they are not covered up. Good luck, hope I helped

Nothing is obstructing its path from what i can tell so is it safe to say I need a new motor on that side?: there is only 1 motor that runs both sides. maybe the arm got bent somehow or maybe all it needs is adjusted.
