Q: I brought it to walmart to get the blade change because it seems that they ripped, the man told me that it has a weird lock on there that only the dealership can change. has anyone ever done it b4 cause i don‘t feel like paying 3times the price at the dealership.
Have you checked your owners manual, it may tell you how.
Q: The rear wiper motor on my vehicle went bad (lucky me!) and I took the route to replace it myself to save on higher costs elsewhere. I have succeeded as far as taking all the inner fasteners off (that attached the motor on the inside) and the nut that holds the wiper arm to the rear windshield. I am having trouble from there. The wiper arm will not remove. Is there something special I have to do to get the wiper arm to budge and come off? What are the rest of the steps, moving forward, so that I can separate the wiper arm from the old motor in order to replace it with a new one? Please help!
it's easier to just stay home on rainy days.
Q: I have a 98 honda civic, and my windshield wipers will not turn on. I have changed the fuse but it hasn‘t worked, does anybody know what could be the problem?
Probably the little motor that turns the wipers.
Q: I am a very DIY sort of guy, and I am very cheap, too. I like the idea of keeping my windshield wiper blades and just changing the rubber refill. However, I can never find them in stores, and I don‘t know anyone who has ever done this. Are there any strong reasons against changing the refills? Most things I have read say that changing the refills is a pain. Why is this? I dont mind taking an extra 10 minutes to save $10. where can I buy the refills?I am not particularly worried about my wipers leaving perfectly clear glass behind. I just need to change my current wipers, which hardly do anything.
My usual practice is to buy the refills once, then buy new blades the next time, and then the cycle repeats. This has worked for me pretty well for the last 30 years or so.
Q: I have a 2005 Chevy Impala. The windshield wipers work and everything, but when I turn them off, they go to the up position instead of down, and when I manually put them down, they go back up.
The wipers on my 02 Venture van same thing, for two years, and I've tried everything. just learned to live with it.
Q: my driver‘s side wiper works but stops on intermittent about 3/4 of the way up for a second then continues. the passenger side wiper doesn‘t work but sometimes jumps a little (maybe 2-3 inches). what do i have to do?
sounds like either the gears in your wiper blade motor are stripped or maybe the clamps on your blades themselves are busted. I would say motor though. You can go ti a junk yard and probably get one for about 30-50 bucks. Or take it to a mechanic and get charged up the $$
Q: Ok so my windshield wipers are acting strange. They work fine to wipe, but when I go to turn them off, they will go all the way down then back up and stop. Like it thinks its supposed to stop in the upward position. So I either have to drive with them stuck in the up position or turn off the car while they are down and pull out the fuse so they won‘t go back up. The motor seems to be working fine. Can anyone help me? By the way it‘s a 96 Chev Cav
try checking the wiper linkage (gotta open up the panel covering the wiper internal parts) it maybe the linkage has worn out or loose. another possibility is that wiper relay has some problem, try changing relay, could help also (coz not enough current supplied to the wiper motor). hope it helps, Merry Christmas.
Q: I put the turn signal on and as i get into the turn the wipers come on for about four to five seconds then stop
it is probly a problem in the steering colom most likely a wire has be cut or the coating around the wire is gone take the colom apart and check it out if it is just a wire that is cut or coating is off get some electrical tape and tape it up but make sure that it is still connected the wires that is good luck:)
Q: my windshield wiper fluid is not working and i do not know how to fix it and do not have the money to take it to the shop. it is filled up to the full line and there are no leaks in the line. i am guessing it is an electrical issue and my guess is it has to do with a breaker maybe? it is a 1995 buick le sabre any help is greatly appreciated.
See if you can wire the pump straight to the battery, that'll tell ya if the pump is dead or not. Did you use GOOD wiper fluid? Even in the summer I only use fluid that's good to -20*, a chunk of ice will stop the pump or plug the lines, if it gets really cold the pump can freeze and it's got a plastic body so it CAN break. If the pump still works you could have a blockage at the nozzles, remove the hoses under the hood take a plunger to those nozzles and try to force the clog backwards through them Always read the label before pouring wiper fluid in it If it is a dead pump you should go to a good auto parts store and you can order a direct replacement, it's a lot easier to replace it with the exact replacement rather than getting a cheap aftermarket pump
