Q:I have a Giant mountain bike and would like to change the tires to road bike tires. What width road bike tires should I buy to replace the mountain bike tires?
they like to sleep in strange places because they like to be away from people while they sleep especially if it is an indoor cat.
Q:Alright so my tire size is 225/45/17. Do I have to get a tire that is 225 and that is the only thing that will fit my rim? Or will like, 205 or other sizes fit as well?
225 is the width of the tire, which is usually the width of the wheel as well. So no. you have to get 225. However, the second number can be different, its just tire height (distance from the outer wheel to the top of the tire). BTW- what is oops talking about? lol
Q:I was driving on the interstate today and it felt like my car (which is a 1995 and has cheap tires on it) was sliding a little. When a truck passed, it felt like I had a hard time keeping control of car. When I went around a curve it felt like the back wheels were sliding out from behind me. I found later that one of my back tires was low. Could this have been the problem or is it cheap tires? The tires are only about 3 months old, but just cheap.
My bet would be at the least 2 things. 1) A tire with much less air pressure would have extra grip 2) Tires with extraordinary air pressures would impact the steadiness of the automobile as good. When a vehicle starts off from a restart the air in the tire could also be bloodless and the strain may be too low for suitable handling. After a number of laps the air in the tires heats (hopefully to the suitable air stress) and your car begins to handle higher. If a tire is inflated to traditional air strain at the establishing of a restart then the tire will warmness up and construct up an excessive amount of pressure inflicting the tire to be rough and slide more. It is all a part of the equations.
Q:when i go to a tire store to buy new tires, they add a tire disposal fee with the new tire. is it an EPA law or what?
The tire store has to pay people to take the old tires, that fee is passed on to you.
Q:I blew my front right tire tonight when I hit a curb late at night.I managed to drive about a mile to my housewhen I got out i saw the tire completely damaged.I guess the impact just blew it out in holes.I need to replace it obviously, how much is the average cost for either a Used tire or a New Tire???.I‘d like to know both, thanks.
why not take the job making money for a while then when you have enough saved, move to Milan for the job you like.
Q:the inside treads of my tires are bald but the outside ones are not, is this normal?
Tires should wear evenly as long as they are rotated, balanced and aligned. If any of these things are off the result could be abnormal wear, like inside/outside wearing on tires.
Q:all tires have proper pressure
A couple things. 1) the tire pressure sensors aren't on all the time. They are inside your tire and they have a battery in them. When the car starts moving fast enough the sensors activate and send tire pressure information. That helps to save the battery. So due to this, your low pressure light may take 10 miles or so of driving before it turns off. 2) How old is the car? As I said, these things are battery operated and after 5 or 6 years they do go bad.
Q:after changing my back tyre, i noticed that after few weeks that my tyre started bending and a kind of folding.i need to know the cause.i have changed the tyre for two times now and at the same leg.
tires don,t bend, rims bends. you might have a bent rim and your putting different tires on the same rim that,s bent.
Q:I have toyota corolla S 2008. My tire inflation pressure light keeps turning on atleast once a week. How can I tell that the tires need to be changed? What are the best tires for corolla? Please suggest which tires should I buy and from where.
It is printed on the sidewall of the tires. The tires should be inflated to 32 to 40 PSI . The tire sales people will school you on sizes, brands, models available. The manufacturer recommended tire size is on a label in the door casing, usually in the rear door. Also in the Owners Manual.
Q:I was told that the best time to check the tire pressure is when the tires are cold. But what if the temperature is really low?If air inside the tires will expand when heated up, then I assume the air will contract too?Is there a possibility that the pressure of my tires are actually fine, but the air contracts and give me a wrong reading when the temperature is very low?In this case, should I add air to my tires if I get a low reading on tire pressure during winter?
There's not enough difference in temperature to expansion to be a problem. If you get a low reading during cold temperatures you should add air. BTW the proper tire pressure is listed either on the B pillar inside the front door opening, on a sticker in your trunk or in your owner's manual. The proper pressure is based on your car, not the tire.
