- There is a third-party cable out there that has a signal converter chip built into the connector for converting the YPbPr Component signal from the PS3's Analog Multiport to VGA, but the image quality is horrible. It defeats the purpose of you spending all that money buying that PS3 if you are only going to run it in such a crippled manner. Remember the reason why the PS3 is so expensive is because of its Digital HDMI 1080p full HD capabilities. To take full advantage of your PS3's capabilities you should buy a 1080p HDMI-equipped monitor.
- Q: does anyone know what the actual measurements of the lcd monitors are? Are they different? like my 18 (diagonal measurement) is 11.25Hx14W. i'm looking for measurements of 17, 19, 19 Widescreens, and 20 Widescreens. Mostly height measurements cuz i'm looking to add another monitor (dual) so i'd like to find one close to my current one. I just want the screen's height not the monitor's. - Measurements are made from one corner of the visual screen to the opposite corner. It's the viewable area that's measured. Edit: Measure yours then go to google and search for monitors that have the physical dimensions close to yours. This way you're not having to worry mismatching physical size.

- I would say a LCD monitor is a better buy. They are flat and lightweight. The CRT monitors are outdated heavy round monitors, so I wouldn't recommend them.

- These specs are useless. All you need to know if it is HDCP compliant. PS3 only works with HDCP compliant displays. Check your manual if it says something about HDCP. (Google HDCP if you want to know more).

- LOL i actually broke my LCD screen with my bare fists, so i know exactly what you are talking about. If you look online, you can actually order LCD screens for you computer/laptop. They even come with instructions if you dont know how to install it. (its very easy). Otherwise, you can bring your monitor to any computer place in Las Vegas, and just got to customer service. Most places should be able to fix it or install a new monitor for you if the screen is broken.

- I don't know how much this will help, but here goes: LCD Liquid crystal Display LED Light emitting diode Samsung makes a very good quality t.v. Before mine was stolen, I owned a 40' Samsung LCD that worked great. A few months later, they came out with the LED t.v.'s and I looked into it myself. A Plasma t.v. uses about the same energy as another refrigerator in your house. An LCD uses about half that, and lasts longer. An LED uses about half again of an LCD, doesn't have any mercury (If you are a green type of person), and has about 10-20 times the constrast of an LCD. Your eye can't really see 10 million colors, but is the slight difference between hues that you will notice. If the $200-400 buck difference doesn't phase you, I would go with the LED. I have heard they last longer, as well. Don't get me wrong, I loved my LCD, just LED's hadn't come out yet. BTW, be sure to get at least 120 hertz.

- You might be able to use the VIVO cable you are describing to get the Wii video to show up in a window using video capture software, but its going to look like crap, because its only running it at television resolution, which is basically 240 horizontal lines. A better option is to get the Wii Component Cable (like the yellow, red white, but its red, blue, green, white, red). They cost about $25. You connect the component cables to another converter called a 'Component to VGA Converter'those are a little more expensive, but if you google that term you should find what you need. This will basically double the video resolution and make the picture look a TON better.

- Hell no. Im playing game and watching movie all day with a Sony 32PO LCD , If you want the model its KDL 32L4000. I cant play with a 17 - 20 '' TV anymore XD. Gaming is Amazing on it and so movie. Youll experience a new gameplay with a big TV in front of you. Just an advice if you have a monster PC and play gaming, get a 1080P. Be sure that you have a PC in behind the TV. you clearly wont regret it. PS. Boost your Graphic card Digital vibrance ( Color ) to 70 - 100 depends how you like it.
