- Q: Hi,I was wondering why, for example, bike wheels all have (more or less) the same radius. Is it the result of optimizing the laws of physics? I know, for example, that larger wheels cause lower rolling resistance, which is energetically profitable. But would even larger wheels be even more profitable, or is there a limit? And why are car or train wheels smaller?Kind regards, and please support your answer with references to laws of physics.Bib-lost
- Bicycle wheels are sized according to the average size of the people using them. Kids have shorter legs than average sized adults and tall people have even longer legs. The wheels are geared to the sprocket so that normal pedaling pace results in reasonable speed. Automobiles have wheels of somewhat different sizes to vary the ground clearance of the vehicle. IDK about RR
- Q: Can immediately get on the car, the price has a better discount
- Wheel, customer service directly to help you about the car
- Q: Ladder group, wheel group, etc. What are the differences, purpose, precautions?
- The ladder group should be the weight gain gradually increased from light, and then gradually reduced by the high (later this someone does not do). A pyramid model that conforms to muscle training. From low to high can have enough warm-up, muscle activity before impact to large weight, and the trainer has a protective effect because the muscles are slightly tired and do not blindly impact more than their own level of weight. From high to low is also to protect, because after a few groups of muscle fatigue can not always practice in large weight, but sometimes muscle congestion is not obvious, so reduce the weight, increase the number of times can also make muscle congestion.
- Q: im lookin into gettin a car for my sis and she is really interested in this celica. the owner said it needs a wheel bearing and a spindle assembly. how much for both parts and labor am i lookin to spend
- on the part cost your best bet would to just call some place like Napa or somewhere like that and labor it depends on a few things like yr, type of celica, and engine size my dad owns a shop and if you got back with that information i could get him to give you a round about answer
- Q: How long before a gerbil gets the hang of using a wheel?
- It may take a while, as not all pets like wheels; especially not at first. You can try placing him the wheel and hope he goes for it, I had to do that with my gerbil. They just hop out, but they get used to it. Eventually he got on it himself, and started using it. He loved it! What kind of wheel is it? If there are any slots in the wheel, the gerbil might not want to use it because his feet can fall through. If you don't already have a closed wheel, I would invest in one, if he isn't using the one you have.
- Q: I have stock wheels on my skates that are a 95A. I want a wheel with more grip. I am new to roller derby and my wheels are making me uncomfortable. Help please.
- The kind of indoors wheels needed will depend on the kind of surface your team is skating on. If it's wood, you can get away with a harder wheel. If it is concrete, I would suggest a softer, grippier wheel. Here's an example: My indoor wheels are Radar flat outrageous. size 62 mm (average size) softness 88a (I skate on smooth concrete which is why i use a softer wheel) When you say uncomfortable do you mean that you're slipping and falling all over the place? Or is it that you feel like your working too hard to gain speed? 95A are pretty hard. Radar makes good, soft wheels. Radar Flat Out's are good for beginners. You can look into the Mojo's too, which have aluminum hubs. You can also look into Heartless wheels, which offer a large selection of different softness. They are a really good brand. Made by Quadzilla: Reigning KING of Roller Derby. I guess since I don't know the kind of surface you skate on, I would ask your fellow league members what is best for them.it will give you an idea as to what softness or hardness you need.
- Q: I have seen all-wheel drive on older model cars a lot, and 4 wheel drive is usually on trucks and such. Is there any difference?
- [edit] [.Engaging four-wheel drive on a continuous basis has the potential to cause serious wear and tear on tires, drive axles and possibly even the transfer case. Parking can also be a chore. Designed to lock the front and rear axles together, four-wheel drive has the effect of widening the turning radius. Consequently, it requires a great deal of effort and patience to park in a tight space or maneuver through the taut confines of a mall parking lot. By comparison, all-wheel drive allows the front and rear wheels to rotate at different speeds. In this way, traction can be maintained while vehicle handling is improved. Most all-wheel drive systems are designed to split the amount of available traction; 60% to the rear wheels, 40% at the front. Under normal driving conditions, this set-up works fine. On a slippery road surface, however, it becomes a job for the viscous coupling unit to split the amount of traction based on specific wheel needs.]
- Q: My friends and I are having an argument.is it wheel barrel or wheel barrow? Thanks
- I grew up with the pronunciation barrel, but I've seen it written barrow. It may be to do with dialects and with the purposes in design. But you can find out by just doing a search.
- Q: I‘m thinking of getting a flying saucer wheel for my pet mouse. If you have used these wheels before, are they good wheels? Silent, easy to clean, etc. What size should I get?
- I don't knOw about flying saucers, but if you want a silent wheel, silent spinners are awesome! For any wheel (including the saucers) just make sure that your mouse doesn't have to arch his/her back so you don't cause back issues later.
- Q: Ok I know that longboard wheels go up to about 76mm the smallest are somewhere around 60mm. But does it really matter what size you get for your board???
- Larger wheels are more mass, thus will roll over objects easier. Larger wheels also have more mass, thus will hold speed longer and will have a higher max speed. Larger wheels can also cause wheelbite (the wheel hits the board and stops), which maybe cause you to fly off the board if your board was not designed to fit large wheels. Smaller wheels will accelerate faster, but may not be able to roll over as many objects. Smaller wheels have less mass so they will not hold our their speed as long. Smaller wheels will be able to fit on more boards without getting wheelbite though.
