CDL/CDLF is a kind of vertical nonself priming multistage centrifugal pump, which is driven by a standard electric motor.
The motor output shaft directly connects with the pump shaft through a coupling.
The pressureresistant cylinder and flow passage components are fixed between pump head and inand outlet section with tiebar bolts. The inlet and outlet are located at the pump bottom at the same plane.
This kind of pump can be equipped with an intelligent protector to effectively prevent it from dry-running, out-of-phase and overload.

- Q:We just replaced the motor on our water pump that burnt out but we are still getting no water pressure. My father in law did a lot of test stuff on it he thinks it's the foot valve. Well I've been trying to call every where get quotes but NOT 1 of the places I called is answering their phone for some reason. So how much dose it usually run to have someone come fix your foot valve so I have an idea to tell my husband?
- A very good foot valve will cost about $20 then it will be the cost of a service call, here we charge about $70 but depending on where you live, how deep the valve is and where its located the price maybe different, and the cost maybe more on a weekend too. Giving quotes for this is not really profitable for service companies, so if you are not prepared to do it yourself then you will have to pay the service call rate. A good reputable company will arrive at your home and give you an approximation on what it will cost, but remember once you call them there you will probably have to pay the service call rate, if you are running tight on money call around and ask the rates but remember that this is a weekend and most companies will be running a small crew and might take time to answer your call. The other option is since you have changed the pump yourself why not just change the foot valve your self? Have you primed the pump after replacement? To replace the valve the pipe that runs to the bottom of your well must be pulled up and the valve is on the bottom of it, its a simple matter of removing the old one and replacing with new the big job is usally the pulling up of the pipe.
- Q:I have a refrigerator that has the built in water dispenser and ice maker but it is in a location that does not have a water source, i would like to set up water tank to pump into the fridge but not sure what type of pump or system is needed to accomplish this i know the fridge does not have one built in, it needs the line pressure to circulate the water.any help would be great, thank you
- Forget the tank. It would have to be watertight and maintain 35-40 lbs. of pressure. There is always a way to run the line. Mine goes thru the outside wall and attaches to the hose faucet. I used a y connecter with double shut offs. Use 1/4in copper if you go outside or under the house. Rodent's love to chew on the plastic
- Q:cars leaking coolant from the right side just dont kno if its the water pump
- Water pump will be at the front center of the engine usually about 2 behind the fan belt Please be very careful never to allow the vehicle to run low on coolant or serious and expensive engine damage will occur. If in doubt don't drive it until its fixed Take a flashlight and take a good look over the whole engine compartment giving close attention to all the hoses connecting the engine to the radiator its best to find the exact location of the leak and get it fixed.Coolant leaks usually leave a discolored stain so this may help in finding it. Also take a look at the carpet on both front floorpans of the vehicle its possible that the cars heater may have failed and this will leak coolant all over either 1 or both floor pans which can then leak out on to the ground below via a drain hole.

- Q:I think my water pump is leaking and I want to replace it, but I can't figure out how to get the pulleys off. There is a large nut on the shaft that the pulleys are on, and I can't figure out how to remove it, or if the nut is attached to the shaft, and the entire shaft is supposed to come out, or how it's set up. Please help. Pictures would be great if possible. Thanks!
- take bolts and nuts off of fan and take off , might have to pry because of rust , corrosion . then take bolts out of the water pump , once all bolts are out , tap with rubber hammer or pry by hand, pump will separate , because of close quarters with radiator be careful not to damage radiator by accidentally hitting it

- That tube is part of the water pump housing. Essentially the water pump. You may be able to get the leak fixed but if it's that old just go ahead and replace the pump.
- Q:I have a 2000 Ford Focus with 82k miles on it. The car is leaking coolant intermittently. The radiator was replaced about 3 yrs ago. The car doesn't overheat but when I turn it off I can hear a boiling sound and it smells like something is burning. It's not a strong smell but it's there. The car also idles rough and downright shakes at times. Also, and I know this sounds crazy, when I'm driving it I hear a sort of whooshing noise that sounds like water. Could this be the water pump or something more serious? I'm taking it to the mechanic tomorrow but would like an idea as to what could be wrong.

- You have a few issues here. Your water that leaves when it's turned off - that's part of what's called your 'water in transit', the problem part is what can't be contained by your lower vessel when turned off. A surge tank can remedy this, as can other solutions - but I'd have to see it. Leaving it on 25/7 can eliminate this effect - until someone has to work on it. Off or not - if it is a sterile pond, you may only need 4 hrs a day for the sanitization, if your circulation is proper. If its a single pump setup, then override the timer to get the look (if you have a waterfall or fountain) when you want it. If it's a live pond, then it really needs to run all the time. These points are all part of a proper waterfeature design. Unfortunately, in this market, lots of folks and others are creating things which have the attributes you describe - and plenty more. It's like the professor of Landscape Architecture at the University of Arizona said, 'A waterfeature that is not properly designed and/or built is a planter waiting to happen'. Good Luck!

C depends on the shape of the pump and normally lies between 1.05 and 1.2 Later edit. I'm not sure if you are aware of it but each impeller has it's own characteristic performance curve.
