- Q: wire diagram and manual
- From Rinker. Or from Nautic Global Group as they now own Rinker since their merger with Godfrey Marine.
- Q: I have a minivan with a flat 5 pin wiring connecter at back. We bought an old utility trailer with no wiring. It has the two rear lights, one on each side with 2 wires sticking out of each. We got the flat 5 pin trailer connector to connect to the van and bought a long piece of cable which has the white, brown, green and yellow wires in it. Where do I connect what? I have the wire that connects to the van with the four colours and 2 wires coming out of each light for the trailer. Thanks!
- Your five wire setup is the same as a four wire setup with an additional wire for power (if it is even hooked up on the vehicle, which I have seen some installed and not used before) The white wire is Chassis Ground (also known as 'NEG' or '-') The green wire is for the Right Side Turn and Stop. The yellow wire is for the Left Side Turn and Stop. The brown wire is for Running/Marker lights. If your trailer's chassis is made of metal, then connect the white wire to it. Check the trailers taillight bulbs to see if they have one or two filaments. They should have two. One is for the dimmer running lights, and one is for the brighter brake and turn lights. Good luck with your wiring adventure!
- Q: 1 green wire, 1 black with red stripe wire
- For the best answers, search on this site https://shorturl.im/awI5v try looking on the box the signal is coming from to see if it states it there, black is usually negative and red is positive but could differ if you simply reversed it at the source. if you are using RCAs, then it has been done for you and you do not have to worry about polarity. hooking up speakers backwards do not harm it, it just starts it out of sync. when speakers play, they either start from going out to in or in to out (the vibrations from the cone). as long as all the speakers in the system are doing the same thing, you will not hear a difference. if it sounds funny, reverse the wires. speakers use AC electricity so there is not much consequence for wiring it in reverse. DC electricity (like a battery) is picky (via the flash or spark if wires are in incorrectly). thayt is also why on some devices that use outlets do not care which way they are plugged in since it is AC. hope this kind of helps. try to find directions for your particular home reciever if all else fails or try to look the company up and call them directly to see if they can help.
- Q: I bought a bathroom vent fan today, the one that was in there hasnt worked since we bought the house. Anyways, i have a black wire, and a white wire coming from the light switch on the wall ran up to the ceiling where the fan is, and a black, white, and GREEN comin off the new fan i bought. Do i need to get in the attic and run a ground wire from outlet to fan? Or are the black and white good enough? The old fan didnt have a ground wire, just the other 2. Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks
- Green wire should be screwed into the inside of the receptacle box or pigtailed to the bare copper wire in the back of the box. If neither a bare wire or a green screw is present, call an electrician to run proper wiring to the box
- Q: The output part of wire plastic and part of wire broken, and the connection lost sometimes, some taps used to wrap up but the connection is still not good. How to fix it permanently?
- Get a new one right away, had the same problem and it was actually burning the wiring inside my computer
- Q: I have a audiofonics adf-240 and I want to wire it to 1 ohm
- you do no longer cord the amp you cord the subs. seem up the wiring optons on your subs and notice the thank you to drop the ohms. remember you will make greater potential yet your amp will run warmer and wont final as long except carried out properly.
- Q: I understand how to wire sprinkler valves in theory. But in practice, how is it done. For instance, starting at the last valves in the run, the common wire is attached, but in a 7-strand wire, you may only use 3 colored wires or so. What do you do with the unused wires? Just leave them dangling? Cap them off with a grease cap? Then, as you arrive at the next set of valves, do you cut the entire strand and splice, or just cut out the individual colored wires that you need to wire those valves?
- As general practice (GP), phone company technicians wrap the extra wires around the end of the cable (both ends). This keeps them out of the way, yet they are there for later use, if necessary.
- Q: I needed a new tail light for my trailer. The aftermarket tail lights only came with two wires sticking out the back, one red and one black. The stock tail light that broke had 3 wires and so does the harness on the trailer end. People have told me that even though it is different it will work. Do I join the two hot wires together with the red wire and then the return wire to the black? There is no wiring diagram avalible and I dont have the money to replace then entire lighting system. Thanks for your help.
- Pull the lens and look at the bulb. If it is a 2 element bulb then it will work, if it is a single element it will not. If it is a 2 element then one of the wires is turn and stop light and the other is tail light. It will use a body ground in that case. On your trailer harness you will have a brown wire, that is tail lights, the turn and stop light (same wire) will be either green or yellow depending on what side of the trailer you are on. The white wire is ground. The turn and stop light will be much brighter than the tail light so just twist the wires together and see which is which. You can hook the white wire to the mounting screw of the light fixture to be sure you have a good ground.
- Q: Hi, I've got two new appliances (range hood fan/light and bathroom exhaust fan). Both are installed but not wired. My house is older, build in 1940s and the previous appliances were wired using the existing copper wiring which runs through the house. I'd like to electrically install these new appliances but am concerned about connecting the new appliance wiring (aluminum wiring i think?) to the copper wiring in the house. Is it safe to pigtail these two wires together? Or is there a better, more safe method? Thanks
- Yes, that is the method that is used. Both are fairly easy to hook up. EDIT: @ 'Intelligent' Pickle: That link is talking about solid aluminum HOUSE wiring being integrated with solid copper wire. The OP has normal solid COPPER wiring in the house. The aluminum wires are on the fan/light, and range hood. From my several years experience as a plumber and ELECTRICIAN, those wires are stranded, not solid. The tapered threads inside a normal wire nut will make a good connection and hold those wires until doomsday. EDIT: Yes, I edited my answer for clarification, and to educate you in reality. You edited your post just to shout a childish insult. It appears that you don't take correction well. Good luck with that as you grow up. @ dtstellwagen: I have seen new fixtures that are wired with stranded aluminum wire.
- Q: I have a Trane Heat pump AC/Heat. There are several wires and Im a little stumped? There is a Tan wire*which the book does not show) and a black wire that is labled X1 on the old one but is not in the new ones book? I have also been told NOT TO hook blue wire up to the B port?? But if not, not sure where to put it?
- Generally the blue wire is never used in a 4 wire system. There also is no guarantee that the other wires are correct. Making note before you swapped wires sure would have helped. A little late now. This the normal wiring designation. white= common =goes to C green= fan=goes to G red=heat=goes to R blue I suspect should be yellow which goes to Y and is for cooling. Just attach the blue to Y Your new thermostat should tell you if the jumper is needed. Most come with the jumper already installed. Don't forget to read the section on setting the Heat Anticapater. Electric heat is normally set at .7. Gas would be different.
