- Q: Motorcycle cornering mindset. Given a clean, dry road and good tires--can I lean over till something scrapes without undue fear of ending up a mass of twisted metal? Of, have I watched too many road races on TV?
- I wouldn't suggest you lean too much if you don't know what your doing. Corners usually mean you can't see what's around the bend, so the faster you go the more you lean over then the more chance of coming off. And there is no such thing as a clean dry road unless your on the race track
- Q: The bike is spec‘d with a 140/70-18 in the rear and it seems I am only able to locate tires in the 160/60 size. Will these work on my bike? Also, what would be the difference in riding with a bias-ply tire instead of a radial tire?
- I agree with the oddly named goaheadeatme above . Dunlops are good. They trick to getting tires is to get the same brand/style front and rear. Bias tends to give me better handling, I think, but radials are more durable for every-day riding. Bias are a little cheaper, but I go through a set a year, or so, regardless of the cord configuration, so it doesn't really matter. Go to your local shop and ask them to order you some tires. They should be able to get them, no problem, and they can mount and balance them for you, too. Professional mounting can be a lifesaver.

- I have an 2002 CBR600f4i and get around 30 miles per gallon with that bike, maybe can get slightly better mileage when I am on the highway but not much better. I have modified this bike anyway I could and you may get 35 miles per gallon with a stock bike, bone stock, no exhaust, no pc, nothing changed. Last year I got a new 2007 CBR1000RR and it gets about the same mileage as my other bike but is not really as comfortable. I would suggest starting out on the 600 if you have no sportbike eperiance. Have fun with the new toy.

- Depends on what your riding and how you ride it! When you find yourself asphalt surfing face down at high speeds it's a little too late to be thinking of the $150 saved by using an old tire (you did state contacting seller discard a tire dated over 5 years old!
