Q:I need a new tire to pass inspection next year, and I would like to put a wider rear tire on it.It seems like there is enough room on the sides to do so.The tire I have on now is a dunlop 130/90/16
2003 sportsterrear tire size is1309016put tire wider
Q:Motorcycles, scooters any 2 wheelers has to lean to turn, but 3 wheelers or trikes tyres tend to stay on the ground.I was wondering if I am correct on is and need feddback or correction on my thinking because our trike‘s handlebar front wheel wobbles a lot and we thought it‘s the front tyre that is not as flat as the rear ones. Our front tyre is the same as any other bikes or scooters stock tyres. With a lil contact surface getting wider at the sidewall up to the rim.Don‘t u think manufacturer got the wrong one for the front?
I've seen a few of these posts about the chinese trikes having wobbly front ends, and the solution to the problem is, dont buy chinese junk. Those trikes have poor craftsmanship, bottom line.
Q:I have a 2007 Kawasaki ZX-6R and thinking about purchasing some sticker tires and need some feedback. Thanks!
I have purchased the tires two times and both were bad experiences. I bought the red rubber tires back in 2002 and paid a fortune because at the time they were not DOT approved and got held in customs for like 6 months.(At the time the company was still located in england.) Then after i finally got them on my bike they took forever to warm up and never quite got sticky. They came off after about 100 miles. Then I bought the companies slicks about a year ago for track days and again I was disapointed with the amount of grip. They werent even on par with the pilot power street tires I had on previously. I hope this helps you at all. Rides 2002 honda cbr600f4i 2006 kawi zx10r
Q:I want to purchase a motorcycle to add as a daily driver, but I know not the first thing about them. What are some of the fastest, most reliable motorbikes in the under $10,000 market? I can buy used if necessary to meet that point. Also, I‘m 18; how‘s insurance on the wallet? Average gas mileage? Cost of upkeep?.Anything else.
Best Motorcycle Under 10000
Q:Bike: 2007 Ninja 250. The pressure isn‘t listed on the tires. I just found these stock specs online.
They are the sizes of the tyres, Not the Pressure to put in the tyres
Q:Will a 140/55/17 motorcycle tire fit a rim with a 180/55/17?
No. That is much too narrow a tire for that rim. Stick with the 180/55/17. It will fit and handle best for your bike.
Q:Any websites out there?
you get what you pay for Its like buying a $10 helmet for your $10 head. best advice is buy the best you can afford. cos tyres are cheaper than the repair bill.
Q:I have a 2003 Kawasaki Mean Streak 1500cc bike. The OEM front tire is a 130/70R17. I wanted to know what sizes of tires I can put on the front rim. I‘m something of a novice when it comes to bikes so any help is greatly appreciated.
People always think that bike manufacturers put such care into designing these things, taking into account the perfect tires. That's BS. Money is the bottom line, in most cases. They don't care how big V-twin handles. Who buys a bike like that because it handles well? Expect that kind of care taken in cases like race bikes (600RR). If it were me, I would keep with the same tire size because of fit, however, you can go with other sizes. Keep the same width because you don't want to have to mess with spacing. As far as height and sidewall, for every inch you go up in wheel height, you need to compensate by going down 12.5mm in sidewall height. That way you don't have to adjust your speedometer and you know the tire will fit under the fender. 130 (width, mm)/70 (sidewall,mm)/R (tire type, Radial) 17 (wheel height, inches) If you want an 18 inch wheel, you'll gain an inch total of tire height. To compensate, you'll want to go down 12.5mm in sidewall height. One inch about 25mm. Divided that by 2 because there are 2 sides of the wheel. The biggest draw back is not knowing how much air to put into the tire. The sidewall rating is the MAX PSI that the tire can handle. It is not how much air you should put in it. The owner's manual will tell you the PSI rating based on the stock tires and the weight of the bike. The same goes for your car. NEVER use the psi rating on the tire.
