- The best idea would be to measure your pony. You need an ordinary tape measure and you measure from the centre of his/her chest to the point of the buttock in a straight line. (I had a 14.2 pony who was 6' 6 and that is unusual - if I'd just bought average for him it wouldn't have fit so safest to measure.) How many rugs you need depends on how much you want to spend as they will quite happily spend the night in an outdoor rug if you can't spare the cash for a stable rug as well. If it's not a problem then I'd say a stable rug, a good quality turnout rug and a wicking cooler.

- Carpet padding extends the life of carpet. Better quality padding is more important than carpet grade. It will last longer and look and feel much nicer! Do not glue to wood subfloor! That is just bad advice! Future cleaning would be next to impossible and leave stains from glue and rot out the particle wood.

- Used them many times and they are very reasonably priced. If you aren't moving your furniture (which we didn't) make sure they put everything up on blocks so as not to stain the carpets until they dry. It's a normal procedure for them but they can mess up and your wood or fabric that touches the wet carpet will stain it. When they are done your carpets should only be damp and not wet to the touch. If they are wet don't let them leave until the carpets are only damp. Stanley Steemer is a franchise operation so not all franchises are great. I use them for a whole house cleaning but use my own steam cleaner much more often. I have saved a lot of money by owning my own steam cleaning machine which is a Bissell. I can keep up on carpet cleaning routinely as opposed to waiting until the carpets are in dire need. I would recommend after you use Stanley to buy your own cleaner.

- Resolve spray carpet cleaner, a small stiff bristle nylon brush, and a small wet/dry vacuum cleaner...do small section at a time so you can see the difference... Look around for a good leather cleaner/conditioner
