- I just Googled Ashley area rug and noticed that they are made from nylon, one of the points being easy to clean. Can you ask the manufacturer or place you bought it? I'd try just straight white vinegar sponged on and then blotted. I'd then elevate or hang the rug so both sides can air until completely dry. Get a squirt bottle and use it keep the cat off the rug. - This is not a stain. The carpet piece has been burned away. Depending on how large the burn is, snip a piece or pieces of carpet from a corner of the carpeting and use a little glue and put the new piece(s) on top of glue. Don't try to rush this. Do it slowly, because you want to match the rest of the carpeting the best you can. When sniping the carpet pieces, only take the top portion. Good Luck

- Q:Whats the best cleaner/chemical to get blood stains out of a rug? I was working on something in the trunk of my BMW 325i and i cut my finger. But the pool of blood wont come out of the carpet no matter what i try. Someone told me to try using milk but that didnt work either. I have to bring my car to get inspected and i need to get the stain out beforehand...Any suggestions?
- If you live near a Dollar Tree store they sell a cleaner called Awesome. i use this for everything. it got dark chocolate stains out of my white rug and blood stains off a shirt. if you cannot find that cleaner use Peroxide. this is used to clean wounds but it also get out blood. When my brother was cut badly his bedspread has a giant pool of blood. my mother poured peroxide on it and it fizzed and then it washed out. Good luck! I hope your not trying to hide a dead body...just kidding.

- Try nail polish remover -- it gets it off nails skin and phones! and removes sticker residue off windows and other surfaces also try carpet cleaner/stain remover. soak it and rub in circlular motion w/ rag. bleach if it's white carpet.

- Because it is dyed purple dry-cleaning is the best cleaning technique to preserve the colour long term. You could wash the sheepskin with the correct sheepskin woolskin wash but some of the dye colour will run out in the rinse water. Salt is a natural dye fixative so I use salt in the final rinse water to reduce dye run. Don't use a normal woolwash, this is not suitable for the leather. A sheepskin carding brush is great to brush out knots before and after you wash a sheepskin rug to prevent matting.
