Q: is there anything people can suggest to get an odour out of an area rug... it says specifially that I can't shampoo it so thats out.I can try febreeze but that always seems to just mask the odour it doesn't actually get rid of it.I think the odour itself stems from our vacuum, it needs replacing but until then I need to figure out a work around for this smelly rug as my infant usually has his play blanket ontop of it and has tummy time on there so I really don't want it to smell anymore.1. Can't shampoo2. Febreeze only masksAny suggestions please!!
50-50....vinegar and water..add baking soda...spray all over the rug..let dry..vacuum and do again......but don't vacuum..sprinkle baking soda on it and let it sit a day..then vacuum WORKS GREAT ON ANY ODOR!!
Q: Okay so for the past few years I've been making latch hook rugs. They take up too much space and I was wondering if there is a way to sell these? I don't really have people to sell them to, and I was wondering how one would go about getting rid of these projects while not throwing away all your cash. I am afraid to sell them on OKorder because someone might accidentally be deceived and think that it was an unfinished latch hook kit, and be surprised to find a completely finished rug at their doorstep. Any suggestions?
There okorder is another site where people sell completed handcrafts. If you have consignment shops in your area, they may be willing to sell the rugs for you. I have some that I've hung on the wall as art, and I have also used some as tops for chair cushions or throw pillows. Unfortunately, though, in general this is one of the class of craft projects where the unused kit often sells for more than the completed item. If selling doesn't work out, you may wish to restrict yourself to rug projects where you have a specific use or recipient in mind, or else put some of your energy into a less expensive craft like friendship bracelets, for instance. Good luck!
Q: Have anyone bought any rug recently from Direct Rugs USA? wanted to get some reviews of direct rugs usa before buying from them.please share if you have bought rugs from them before. I want to know quality and service.

Q: MY child dumped some nail polish on a rug in her room-it has light colors-any suggestions how to get it out?
It depends on what type of rug it is but most of the time anything that you can get fingernail polish out with will take the color out in the rug. Call a car detail shop and ask them if they will take a look. My husband owns a detail shop where we live and people even bring this type of thing in for him to work on.
Q: I have a thin, lightweight, 3x5 rug in my room. The floor is hardwood floor (but unwaxed). It is kind of like an quot;area-fillerquot;, so my room doesn't look so empty, therefore I don't want to put anything on top of it to anchor it down. Simply walking over it causes it to slip slide and move around. What can I do to hold it in place? Do they sell anything for things like this?Thank you!
Any flooring store or home center has these special thin mas that are used under rugs.. They seam tacky , but leave no residue. And when they get dirty naturally you toss then ib the washer and the tackiness comes back to reuse.. One CAUTION.. Get only the one meant for rugs over wood. Don t get the rubber mats that are sold in housewares, these can stain the wood. These are special for 2 reasons.. They allow the wood to breathe and they will not stain or discolor the wood if you have a oil based urethane on them.. GL
Q: I dropped some candle wax on the carpet... How do I get it out?
Use an iron and a lot of cleans cotton or linen rags (nothing pilly or plushy, like towels). Pour a bit of boiling hot water on the spot and pick and scrub at it to get out what you can, and scrape at it with a butter knife is it's really on there thick. Then, use the iron for a FEW SECONDS over another clean rag to help suck up the crumbs and bits that you dislodged by picking and scraping. Repeat as necessary. And be rough about it! A few lost fibers of carpet aren't going to mar the look of the carpet as much as the stain will. Carpets are built tough. They can take the scraping and scrubbing and picking. Now, if the candles are heavily colored like red or black, that's another story. Follow up the removal of the wax with a steam cleaning of the carpet, with a heavy dose of Resolve carpet cleaner (and some Clorox Clean-up spray with Bleach if the carpet is light enough, but only DIRECTLY on the discoloration.)
Q: what material carpet is better if the house is humid?
wool carpet is not suitable for wet house, because it is easy to mildew and become smelly. you can try plastic carpet, but it is not beautiful
Q: My 2yr old spilled ALOT of syrup on our large area rug...I tried HOT water, blotting the area, scrubbing the area and carpet cleaning solutions....any suggestions? Rug still extremely sticky when we step on the areas where the syrup is soaked in.
Hi, okorder / ...
Q: I want the Rambo turnout lite in a 5ft or a 5ft 3, but whenever I contact an intenet seller about this, they say that Rambo rugs only go down to a 5ft 6. Is this true? If so, it is very stupid. Especially as Rambo rugs are such a large fit. My horse is meant to be a size 5ft 9, but he's wearing the Rambo lite in a size 5ft 9 right now and it is hanging off him, I measured it and it's 9 inches too long.
so I'm completely confused because generally people don't measure rugs in feet, it's in inches- sizes like 68, 70, 72... Rambos do run large- my mare has a Rambo and it hangs down to her knees. go with a different brand or look for pony sizes
Q: Stuff I've bought doesn't work, and to be honest they cost too much money, is there a cheap/natural way to clean carpet effectivly?
Get a RugDoctor cleaner. about $30 for 24 hours, plus shampoo. Follow the directions. works great.
