Q: I keep pads under my Oriental rugs. I bought rubber backed pads for all of them but I noticed that it's disintegrating - turning into a fine powder. Has anyone had any experience with better pads and can recommend something better?Thank you.: Pads are must for rugs whether its an oriental rug or some other rug. It increase the life of rug.

Anyone done this before? Tips?: On HGTV I heard you can paint a rug with Latex paint. You can always go to your home improvement store and ask them, even call them. It was Design Remix, the show that I saw them do it, and it was Latex paint that they used and they said you can paint any rug with it. I would write down what the rug's made out of and call the company of the paint and ask them if you can use it on a rug before doing it. You don't want to use it and have it ruined. I'm thinking as long as it's not a carpet kind of rug, you should be fine. I hope this helps!

You can use one at the laundry mat. But on gentle, and cold water.

If it's a medium quality, and you don't live in an expensive area; around $400.

Q: can anyone offer some advice on how to get wood stain out of california berber carpet?: Virtually impossible. Professionals use a product called Stain Magic that may get rid of some or if you're lucky all of it. I would not suggest cutting berber because your new piece of carpet will not match very well. At least that's what my husband was told when he went to school to learn how to clean carpets.
