Q:I know that Watt, RPM Torque are connected each others, but, with the same RPM Watt, are there unordinary electric motors out there that have very higher torque than ordinary motors ( especially 220v 1 phase AC motors ) ?Can someone give me the website address about it ?
Not okorder /
Q:pls let me know if I can provide any information.
AC induction motors need, guess what, AC. Batteries supply only DC. You would need an inverter, and a battery. To do the calculation, I have this idea that the ratings on the motor may be important, don't you think? Also important is how long the battery has to last before it is discharged. But AC induction motors tend to be large, which means a large or very large battery at a minimum.
Q:even an synchronous motor is not a problem..tell me some site
The basic thing is to create that rotating field in the stator. For this the simplest is you need 4 poles placed like a cross, and 2 phases separated by 90 degrees. Wire the poles so the opposite poles help each other, and the two phases are at right angles. You can get the two phases using counters or shift registers etc with amplifiers, or analogue phase shifters, op-amps, using a sine wave source and followed by power amplifiers. Consider stereo audio amplifier. It is better to work with sine waves than square waves, as the field shifts gradually. The rotor could be a basket of copper shorting bars. I think you could do away with the iron in the rotor for a demo motor. The second link also shows a simplified layout for a three phase motor with three poles. The eddy current motor is a simpler one to make. See the link below for a few ideas.
Q:My friend said she got a strong electrical burning smell and her blower doesn't work in any of the positions. I'm assuming its the blower motor. Anything I should be aware of?
Compressor will have nothing at all to do with whether or not the blower blows. Even if the compressor completely blew apart, the blower would still blow air, just wouldn't be cold air. The resistor on those is an electronic resistor, not a coil-type resistor (if it has the automatic temperature control where you can set by a specific temp, then it uses a control module). So if it burned out, it could cause the burning smell. Chances are very good it will be the resistor, those are a common repair on many vehicles (not just Chrysler products). Check the motor to see if it's good by running wires directly to it from the battery. Connect both ground and power wires direct, if it doesn't work, it needs a new motor. If it does work, then likely needs a new resistor. Remove the resistor and check for burn spots, or use a voltmeter and check for voltage going in and coming out of the resistor. If the resistor is good, then it's either a wiring harness, or the control itself that burnt up.
Q:I have a 1/2hp, 8.6amp,115v AC Jet pump motor. I want to take an electric go-kart somebody doesn't use anymore and replace it's dinky motor with this one. I have the mechanical skills to do this. The thing is I am not sure if it is a good idea to use a power inverter to run it. I have basic electronic knowledge, but not sufficient enough to know if this is smart. I don't want to fry anything. If using a power inverter will do the job with no harm my question is what could I do to make a throttle. It would be kind of ridiculous if it only had an on off switch. Nothing like going balls to the wall right off the start. Not to mention the safety risk. I was thinking that I could use a variable resistor of some sort, but I'm not positive it would work. What would be the simplest low cost manner of making a throttle? I'm open to as many ideas as I can get. Thanks for any help you can offer.
Unless you're making a go cart for a hamster, that 1/2 hp motor isn't going to move it very fast. If you want to try, you should have an inverter at least twice the current draw of the motor, or at least 800 watts. And even then, motors don't always work very well off of inverters. Your numbers don't add up. 8.6A at 115V would be over 1hp. But, even that isn't going to push a go-kart. You'd need more like a 4 or 5hp motor minimum. It would take more like a 10hp motor to be any fun.
Q:What are the speed regulating methods of AC motors? Detailed point
(1) rotor circuit series resistance: used in AC winding asynchronous motors. The range of speed regulation is small, the resistance consumes power, and the motor efficiency is low. Used of cranes.(2) change the speed of power supply voltage, the speed range is small, the torque decreases greatly with the voltage drop, and the three-phase motor is usually not used. Used for single-phase motor speed regulation, such as fan.(3) cascade speed regulation, in essence, is the introduction of additional rotor electromotive force, change its size to speed. It is also only used in wound motors, but the efficiency is improved.(4) electromagnetic speed regulation. Used only for slip motors. By changing the exciting coil current, stepless smooth speed regulation, the mechanism is simple, but the control power is smaller. Not suitable for long term low speed operation.
Q:what is induction motor?
An okorder /
Q:What happens to a stator wound AC permanent magnet motor when the rotor is removed but still powered?
You will have an energised choke in one place and a rotor that is still spinning due to intertia but slowing down due to friction. With no rotor load the power consumption will go down. Probably. In real life the rotor would go out of control as you tried to disassemble the motor while working and it would shatter into little bits.
Q:cost of car AC motor blower?
Keyboard not working? Go to any autoparts store onine and key in your year, make, and model and search for blower motor. Then guess what? It tells you the price. Why would you ask us to do that for you?
Q:i have a 120v/60Hz blender motor and i was wanting to some how make it in to an insane rc vehicle like a rover or a motor boat, etc.. would any one know of a way to accomplish this? picture if you can see it is my profile picture.
For an insane answer, yes you can do all that. The problem is the operating voltage of 120 VAC. If you don't mind a tether/ extension cord. Some AC motors can run on batteries, but the batteries would be fairly heavy. You will need a gear box to slow down the motor, either to operate a propeller on a boat or to drive wheels or a set of tank tracks on a vehicle. Possibly some remote control stuff off of an old RC toy could be added. This a great idea to give you practical experience modifying something into something else. A great Gadget freak idea, and yes I are one myself. You will have a lot of fun, provided you don't burn out before the completion of the project. I would stay away from the boat idea unless you are using batteries for the power source. 120 VAC with an extension cord and water is a big no no. Edit: Four days after answering. As to how to accomplish that, I can not explain that process here. Without all of the possible pieces in front of me, no real answer can be given. You might ask some of your friends for suggestions. Not knowing your age, maybe some teachers or adult friends could help and/ or give you some idea of where to start. Wingman
