- Washing those rugs in the washing machine is fine, I do mine every other week. Just throw it in separate from anything else and hang it to dry. Oh yeah and do it in cold water with NO bleach! Bleach and/or the dryer will cause the rubber backing to break down and start coming off.

- I once bought a sutured carpet, sutured piece by piece, then paste plastic gummed paper on the joints preventing the joints from being scratched or brought back, and then the lay carpet flat, suture seams with dense villi in curved needle. But I now feel that the carpet is not very good, although relatively small, but very beautiful. I prefer the floor, because the carpet is dirty, bacteria will be more too.

- I have a tan carpet and discovered that Woolite OxyDeep works wonders. Then you get a heavy duty carpet cleaner and a Bottle of Resolve and clean away. If that doesn't work then you are probably going to have to get a new carpet. And don't give up after the first try.....if it is as dirty as it sounds it is....you are going to have to go over it several times.

I don't have a catalog here to give you the exact address as I gave my last one away. The people I gave it to, like you, were having trouble finding the exact rug they wanted but did in that catalog. Try looking there.

I don't think we have very dirty carpet but it was always suggested by our carpet cleaner (by the way - I hate how they always upsell their services). anyways - I want to have another carpet cleaning soon in the spring and would like to be more educated about this.Bottom line is - if 'steaming cleaning' does not clean... why bother having such service in the first place?
- Steam cleaning is a proven system and the best i think. Up selling is a known and just don't buy.Know what you want and stick to it. Make sure you get a reputable and that means an established company or reputation to be safe.

- Q: I currently operate a rug store that sells almost all persian rugs in Santa Rosa California (in the San Fransisco bay area). Operation is rather stable but I have two issues.1. I sell high quality rugs and hence the prices are more expensive reflecting the quality. However, many customers can find designs similar to mine on the internet at 1/3 to 1/4 of the price.
